Amazing place, very welcoming. Food and service was of a really high standard. Best meal out for a long time! Would recommend.

We just had a very lovely Sunday dinner here. I had the veggie option which was delicious. Service was very good but it did take a little while for drinks to be served but it was very busy so it is understandable. Overall, a great meal in a lovely setting with very nice service.

A lovely welcome on arrival. We were seated in a quiet part of the bar which was nice. The lady got some water for the table and took our drink order promptly. The food was delicious and freshly cooked. We both said we would definitely visit again.

The Northumberland Arms is a very lovely hotel which serves excellent food with a varied menu that has something for everyone. All very well cooked and great staff to help you along the way.

Lovely food, lovely polite staff and very dog friendly. The staff made a fuss of the dogs and gave them treats. So many so called dog friendly establishments just put up with dogs but the experience was great here.

The service was amazing from the moment we walked in until we left, attentive without crowing, water was served along with menus for us and our dog, the choice was comprehensive without being too much. I had the bubble and squeak pie which was a new experience andit was delicious the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was exactly what I want, good portion size and tasted awesome. My dog had the beef dripping ice cream which was lapped up within seconds leaving a clean silver bowl, the staff had also supplied fresh water for her at our table, there was a cosy fire which my little furry companion thought was just perfect . Often youngsters get a bad wrap from older adults as they are said to be work shy and not passionate about those they are serving, I can say the service by all the young people in the Northumberland Arms was exceptional and they are to be commended sometimes older customers can be awkward but these young people dealt with us amazingly. We are so glad we made the decision to book here on our last night of holiday as it has topped a wonderful stay in Northumberland superbly

We had a seemless experience at the Northumberland Arms. There were six of us meeting plus a dog, we dined in the conservatory. It was cosy and comfortable and the food was delicious!

Wow, wow, wow!! Another great visit. Such a warm & welcoming restaurant. We had the mixed meat roast with some sides. Everything was cooked to perfection & tasted individually delicious! 10/10 see you soon!

Service started well then following the sweet menu being left on our table nothing so I had to go and find someone as we decided to pay the bill. Food itself just too complicated on the plate, hard to tell what was what as it’s all disguised as blocks and other shapes. Waiting staff didn’t seem to know the dishes they were serving either. Good ambiance and staff were friendly.

The food was very high quality and reasonably priced. The servers were (as often is the case in restaurants) local young people around university student age. They were responsive articulate and confident. A credit to the management.

Excellent Sunday Dinner. What a lovely pub. The food was delicious. The vegetarian option for my partner was very tasty. Portions were large - we didn't have room for what looked like a great selection of puddings. Service was extremely good. Even though they were busy, we were very well looked after. Really great place to go for a roast. One of the best I have had.

What a find! We made this our pit stop when heading home from Scotland to NE Yorkshire. The place is immaculate, staff are super helpful and friendly. The food was really tasty, delicious and great value. Loved the dog friendliness & the Sunday menu for our pooch with a great variety on the menu for her. My husband spotted another dish on the way out, so albeit 2 hours from home, we will be back - thank you 🙏🏻
