Was really nice, food took a while but was worth the wait.

So much more than expected, even when reading the menu the food came out so much more than could have imagined. Lovely meal, staff were friendly, would go back if we’re not leaving tomorrow. Well worth the visit.

Unfortunately on this occasion we had a long wait for our main meal which meant we didn't have time for dessert. My daughter was looking forward to a delicious sticky toffee pudding for her birthday.

We went early on a Monday evening, so it was quiet which we preferred Managed to get a parking space in the car park The menu was good and we were happy with our table - preferring to sit on chairs rather than sofas Would prefer smaller coffee cups Appreciated the linen napkins Staff were excellent - pleasant not gushing but very prompt and efficient, worked as a team Service was not included - and we were very happy to leave extra on top of the bill We would be happy to go again It is an asset to the village

The food was lovely again first time on a evening it was amazing and staff were lovely and friendly

Lunch was nice, all meats were dry especially the pork, not enough gravy so was unable to eat the Yorkshire pudding as no gravy left on the plate. All service staff wasn’t in the conservatory at the time so unable to ask for more. Sides were lovely including the added greens in a creamy sauce. Service staff were polite.

We’re staying for a couple of days and fancied having a relaxing dinner in the pub with our dog, Billy. The meal was exceptional and smashed any expectations we had beforehand. High quality produce beautifully prepared and cooked. The trout confit was a knockout and the beef rib excellent. Sausage, mash and peas had Billy licking his lips… The team are warm and friendly, was nice chatting to them between courses. Overall a lovely start to our stay, highly recommended and something we’d definitely repeat.

Food was good overall, had steak pie, well presented, but not the best I’ve had, several pieces of fat in there, I wouldn’t expect that from a high end pie. Not enough vegetables, also a steak knife was dirty and had to be changed. Service was good.

First time visiting as we’d been to the zoo nearby and I had booked for Father’s Day. The food was gorgeous and were generous portions. The 2 young lads that were waiting our area were really lovely, worked so well together and made sure we were happy throughout our visit.
