When in Blackpool, wander from the North Pier along Queen Street until you come to Nunzio’s, a fine Italian and Mediterranean restaurant run by dedicated couple, Nunzio & Susan. This is a cosy restaurant with an open fire and genuinely warm welcome, and as soon as you’ve stepped through the front door the quality of the place is clear to see. From the menu you can expect pizza, pasta, risotto and plenty of prime meats. We’d have to recommend the saltinbocca, veal cooked in white wine and sage with parma ham and parmesan shavings. Pay this gem of the North Shore a visit and reserve a table now.
good old school food and service, bargain early bird menu, warm fire and easy to park. will use again, forgot what a good Italian had to offer
Lovely warm welcome. Clean and cosy restaurant with an open fire when we visited. Food freshly prepared, all home made and very tasty. We would return without hesitation
Very friendly staff good wine and food close to centre of town and sea front. Can get very busy at times so best to book
We have dined at nunzios numerous times and the experience is excellent, food is fantastic, staff are always brilliant and helpful totally awesome recommend totally
Initially could not be seated at our reservation time as the 'early bird offer' diners had not finished, but eventually were given a very pleasant table in a corner of the restaurant. The service from then on was excellent (even though the restaurant on that evening was suffering from sudden staff departures) and the food delicious, well cooked and plentiful. Nunzio, originally from Sicily was a charming man and, even though rushed, had time to exchange memories of Sicily with us. I would definitely recommend Nunzio's. Try the Saltimbocca you will not be disappointed!
Myself and my wife have been coming to Nunzio's whenever we visit Blackpool and it's always great food with polite friendly service. Last night we took our twin 5 year old girls and 12 year old son who can all be fussy eaters and the staff couldn't do enough to make sure everyone was accommodated even going as far as to get a bottle of my wife's favourite champagne.
It was very busy when we arrived but the staff were all very friendly and once we were seated at our table they took our order quickly. We did not have to wait very long till the meal arrived and it was excellent. We will certainly return on our next visit to Blackpool and recommend Nunzio's to friends.
I have eaten here before and I had a great experience that time. This time however, We were running slightly late for our reservation due to taxis taking forever and so I rang the restaurant up to let them know. They told me it would be fine. We were approx 20 mins late. On arrival I explained we had a booking and we were told we would have to wait 10/15 minutes which is fine so we went to the bar to get a drink. Another couple walked in straight behind us and were seated straight away. This annoyed us a little. I asked the lady behind the bar if we have to ask to be seated again and she told me a member of staff would come to us and get us a table. We waited and waited.. finished our drinks and still No one came to get us a table. There were some tables that we could have been seated at empty the whole time. We had enough in the end and left after our drinks. The restaurant was fairly busy but that's no excuse to be seeing to other customers who came in after us almost immediately whilst we were left waiting like spare parts, standing in the middle of the restaurant.
From the easy on line booking system to the friendly helpful staff to the superb food and real value for money is the reason we as a family go to Nunzio's every time we come away to Blackpool (@ least 15yrs)
We turned up on speck on a Saturday night to find it fully booked so reserved a table for the next evening. It was worth the wait for this well presented restaurant with warm & friendly atmosphere. Service was excellent, the staff courteous & helpful. There was a variety of choice on the menu & the food arrived promptly, hot & delicious. We will certainly return the next time we visit Blackpool.
