I enjoyed my mixed fish grill very nice just a little bit to much squid otherwise enjoyable, not as tasty as the first time but no complaints, price reasonable if I went for 3 course that would be expensive,I only had the main and it was £34 with a soft drink so a bit pricey if I wanted a pudding which I didn't buy cause my budget was for £35 Lunch.

I've been to this place many times and i always try something new. It's always excellent! Service is very friendly and you can order any dish it will be perfect. Very generous portions, I always leave with a doggy bag

Awful food-awful experience. I heard that this place was definitely basic but that the food was authentic. Now, I've been many times to Portugal and I can say that it might be authentic for the cheapest tavernas. the food they serve is really of cheap quality and badly cooked. Also there were plenty of portuguese footballers who were shouting and the hostess no once said to them to keep in mind that there were other people. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Great food, oversized portions at very good prices. Wine list offers a good choice on truly authentic Portuguese bottles. Really busy on weekends so booking on such days is a wise choice.

Excellent south London restaurant with a local community vibe - good affordable food, friendly atmosphere. I hadn't been here for years but a return visit underlined my positive memory of the place.

Despite booking they looked unprepared for us to turn up. There was lots of tables so we just chose one. Despite the large portions the food was not very tasty, also bread and pate turn up on the table and are charged for without asking if you want. The bread was delicious. Staff not very attentive.

Terrific place. Good honest food. Friendly service. The lighting in the dining room area is a bit bleak, and you have to put up with a TV that's permanently on, but that apart it's all good.

The restaurant is lovely and always great food and service. It was my birthday party and my friends loved it. The reservation I made in August was forgotten and this caused confusion, yet the restaurant gave us a table and was very nice. It was just a mix up. I will keep going back as it's a fond place to be, like stepping into Portugal for the evening!

Good Portuguese food, nice service. Traditional, but also clean, urban and suitable for younger and non-Portuguese clients. Being traditional enough, you may expect large portions and a generous service.

Large portions and good value. Service is quick but tends to be very busy and so can seem crowded due to small space. Despite this I would recommend it.

Buzzy vibe, good food, large portions and a very good price. Service at times patchy, there is quite a large gap between the best and worst waiters

It's probably a 5 if you're Portuguese and 4 if you're not. Food is ok, but I expected better. Service was friendly. Good option if you're in the neighbourhood

Really wonderful fresh, simple food. The mixed sea food grill was superb. Healthy and delicious. Lovely service also. Oh and the £11 a bolt house wine was surprisingly good too.

Love these kind of local places, although they charged for things we didn't order, and the chocolate mousses had clearly been sat there maybe a day or longer!

I went for the second time together with some new guests and everyone was left impressed as I was the first time I went. The genuine environment makes you feel like you are in Portugal rather than in a London suburb and the food great as usual, everyone very satisfied and great prices too!!! Glad the suggestion from my first review to replace the plants on the pavement outside the restaurant has been listened to, it makes a difference!!! Lovely friendly service from all involved!!! Thank you for the lovely evening, Paolo

Another classic Portugeuse lunch. 3 had the suckling pig, I had the Bacalahau (char grilled and lashed with olive oil). Beautiful wine. Great coffee. Could be anywhere in Northern Portugal eating this.
