We we’re welcomed by a lovely young lady with a smile on her face. The couple of waiters who served us were very friendly, welcoming and very approachable they attended to our needs, one of the waiter answered all our questions and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely highly recommend ocean beach. Thank you all we had a great afternoon and made my friends 70th birthday very special.

Quite slow service as they were busy. Wrong toast orders with meals and rather dry scrambled egg. Otherwise pleasant.

Service was excellent and friendly Only problem was 3 of us had the lasagne, it was just about warm, but being British we just eat it !!!!

We had to wait a long time for our table; even though we were booked in for 7pm, it was nearer 8pm by the time we sat. I do think we had been forgotten about in the bar area. We ordered fairly quickly, but again, waited a long time for our starters to arrive and in turn, our mains. The restaurant was not what I would call busy, so it was disappointing that the wait for everything was so long. When the food came, it was good, but it has put me off arranging to visit on a Friday night again.

Lovely meal, staff fantastic, very professional. Had friends visiting from London, they were very impressed.

Booked an outside seat at 545pm. On arrival was advised no outside seats even though that is what we booked and confirmed. Was a special occasion. Did not get served our food for over an hour. Not great service at all.

Very good. Great position overlooking the sea. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The menu was extensive and varied. The food was really tasty and enjoyable. The cost was reasonable offering quite good value. My only criticism was the rather limited choice of dessert. Will certainly revisit but will go to Rossi's for dessert.

Service was quite slow. Food was fine. Sadly there was a very noisy child in the restaurant which made for a less than satisfactory experience.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, but even though it didn't appear overly busy on the food front, our main course took over an hour to arrive and we had to remind them we were still waiting.

Sadly if you google dog friendly restaurants near Southend then Ocean Beach appears. We booked through the app and drove a considerable way only to be turned away without an apology or any empathy to our situation. Parking was challenging and with so many outside tables I was dismayed by the abrupt response to our arrival . Please amend your google listing .

My Family and I have visited you on a number of occasions. But unfortunately we think you have become far to expensive for the food and service you offer.

Booked lunch with our small kids to celebrate Mum's Birthday. The location and service were excellent, as was the food. The portions were good, everything was well cooked and very tasty. Our children are both autistic and can be fussy eaters, but they ate and enjoyed everything and the colouring supplies were a nice touch. Overall a wonderful lunch.

Delightful atmosphere, good food excellent service good value for money. Always like going there.

Very accommodating about changing the time and letting us move to an outside table however we cancelled the whitebait started as our main came up before it but we were still charged for it.

Went for breakfast, all good but I am gluten free & they still don't have bread/toast. I ask every time. Lots of places have it now & keep it in the freezer. Also other restaurants have gluten free sausages, ocean beach doesn't. Most supermarkets better range sausages are gluten free anyway so it's not difficult! They could do with a rethink, I'm not the only one .

Lovely lunch music a bit loud tried to ring them as running late but all voicemail would like to have spoken to someone. Even when I booked the meal could not speak to anyone. I think you should be able to speak to someone. Apart from that a great meal.

Food was amazing but unfortunately, it took 40 mins just to get our starters. Long wait on mains also. Staff good but not as attentive as experienced previously. It was a busy evening though, but still frustrating as a customer. Can’t fault the food one it did arrive.

At 21.15 our party of 4 had finished the main course and opted for cocktails and/or coffee for 'dessert'. Our waitress said 'no coffees, the machine has been turned off'! At least 35 people were still finishing their meals - so we were unlikely to be the only people wanting coffee. Why cease service so early? So, 'May we have a couple of Espresso martinis?' - no, we don't do them. So, that was the end of our evening. Great venue, fab food - but cessation of post dinner coffee service at 21.15 when a good number of customers are still dining is not really what we expected. BUT we all had a fab time so it's just a small gripe.

Went for lunch. Lasagne was dry and overcooked. Starters ok. Nothing special. Would not rush to go again.

Short staffed Not very friendly Rushed Wasnt offered any more drinks or food after our sandwiches. Everything seemed a huge inconvenience when we spoke to staff. A bit disappointing. Food was lovely and a brilliant view!

The food was excellent and the service was very good. There is always a good atmosphere at Ocean Beach and a great view of the beach.
