Hadn't been for years. Was good, but portions small and side dishes ridiculously expensive.

It was a pre theatre visit . We both enjoyed our meal especially the peshwari Nan bread . It was delicious

Lovely welcoming staff. Nice tasty small portions for the great value 3 course lunch ( perfect for my appetite! ) would definitely recommend to family and friends. We’ve been regulars here for years and we wouldn’t consider going anywhere else.

There was eleven of us in the party and everyone enjoyed the food. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing too much for them. Great value for a three course lunch. Definitely be back.

4 of us had a delicious dinner here. The food was exceptionally good with some very different dishes to choose, from the very varied menu. All served with great humour and banter by our friendly servers. We'll be back!

Service was prompt and courteous. Mushroom pakora was tasty. Kabul chicken curry, pilau rice and garlic naan were delightfully tasty, not spicy hot. Food was reasonably priced.

Food was very basic not the best ive had. Also charged 1.30 for a takeaway box. I would've accepted to pay the cost of the box maybe 50p/£1. I feel £1.30 is just cheeky. Staff and service were excellent

Omar Khayyam’s Chicken Shashlik is the definition of sizzling platter. Fantastic. They also have a nice selection of reasonably priced malt whiskies.

booked a table for 4.30pm, didn't get seated till nearly 5pm. Took forever to get us menus then ages before we got our order taken. We got the feeling because we did the BYOB and we weren't buying their wine/drinks, we didn't matter. We had a concert to get to and by the time we eventually got our dinner we felt we had to rush eating it which was annoying as the food is good. We were there for nearly 2 and a half hours! They were under staffed, not enough waiters for the amount of tables they had. They need to address having more waiting staff when there is a big event on at Murrayfield.

What a great meal we had, there was an extensive choice of food on the menu and all excellent.

From a very warm welcome on entering to great service and really great, tasty, food. It is the same very high standards as it was 28 years ago on my first visit. I will be back again and very soon too. Thank you team Omar Khayyam for a great evening.

We were a group of seven apart from a slight hiccup with one of our starters the whole evening was very enjoyable the food was great as were the staff.
