Osteria Italian Restaurant

We went as a party of 6 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Food and service was fantastic.

After reading many good reviews we went for lunch today at Osteria and were not disappointed. There was plenty of choice on the lunch /a la carte & vegan menus, service was slick, food well presented and delicious, good portion sizes and all served nice and hot. The staff were really pleasant and the restaurant had a nice ambience, like being in a wine cellar! There was background music playing at a level which we could easily hold a conversation over and the tables are set out in such a way that you don’t feel like you’re part of the table next to you. We’ll definitely be going back. One niggle is I would have liked a glass of wine with my meal, and in view of the fact they offer plenty of choice on the vegan menu I’d have thought they would have considered serving a vegan wine, but sadly none of the wine is vegan.

Twice in the same week. A takeaway on Monday lunchtime and a more leisurely dining in experience to end the working week. Delicious food. I’ve got 75% of the team enjoying the Penne Arabiatta now. Service is always brilliant. It’s the one place you can go for a fabulous lunch and know you’re not going to be late back to the office. My favourite restaurant in Hull

The Vegan menu was varied and delicious. It was great quality food at very reasonable prices and the staff were very helpful too. Will definitely go back.

My family and I came to Osteria for my birthday lunch even though I went the previous week with my friend. I love the food and so do my family and highly recommend the meatballs (even though I ended up sharing them with my niece). The lunch menu is brilliant value (my meatballs are off the normal menu) and the service was brilliant (although a little slow to order). Our lovely waiter was brilliant with my niece and nephew. Highly recommend.

Squeezed us in at the last minute even though it was busy. Food was great as always.

Quick, friendly service as always. Food was exceptional and very reasonably priced. The music was a little louder than normal but could be because we were sat nearer the speak than normal.

Pleasant atmosphere. Attentive and friendly staff and the food is absolutely delicious. Couldn't think of anywhere better to go for a meal

We visited the restaurant at 7.30 on a Wednesday evening, there was a scattering of people so it was quite comfortable to sit and chat without too much noise. The staff were very attentive and took our order reasonably quickly. Food wise, we cannot fault it, each time we have been the food has been excellent. Pity it is only open until 9.00pm, it would be nice to sit for longer and chill with a drink.

Lovely food, very friendly staff, easy to book. The only tiny criticism is that the chairs need a cushion to sit on!

Brilliant, the garlic Mushroom starter and Tomato garlic bread is a winner. Great atmosphere , very full so glad we booked . The service is great , staff are friendly - booking for next month !! - can't wait!

The service and food were excellent - my only problem was the height of the chair to the table, either chair slightly too low or table slightly too high which gave me bad shoulder ache. Next time I’ll try a side bench seat. Lighting a little bit bright.

We took my heavenly pregnant Daughter and her husband for the last meal we will spend as a foursome before we become five! It's their first visit but our 4th and they were very, very impressed, my Daughter said her pasta dish was the best she has ever tasted and even her husband, who is somewhat harder to please absolutely loved it, we all had three courses and we are so glad we chose this restaurant above all others, everything about this visit was amazing, I have also chosen this restaurant for my retirement meal with work colleagues as I can't think of a better place for me to say my goodbyes!

This is the second time we have been to this restaurant and we have not been disappointed. The staff are friendly and accommodating, service excellent, food is superb, and well worth a visit.

Wow that is all I can say!!, Its our first visit to Osteria, and it won't be our last! we We had an afternoon booking. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food was piping hot lots of variety. Food is all fresh and cooked from scratch, as there was food allergies in the party . It is a must if you have not been - can't wait to go back. Brilliant.

We really enjoyed all our meals. Everything was well cooked and very tasty. We did feel there was no rest between the courses and felt a bit rushed. It would have been nice to have had a breather.
