Steak was amazing, waited too long for our dessert and we prefer our coffee last. Because we waited so long for dessert, we had already drunk our coffee.

Fabulous steak as always - cooked to perfection & incredibly tasty. Ounce is our "go to" destination & we'll be back again soon.

tables were too close together so felt like the next table was literally watching over us, steak was supposed to be medium rare, it looked like it had just hit the pan so I could only eat 1 piece, overall a disappointing first visit, won’t be returning,

We’re seated right by the men’s toilet so asked to be moved. The restaurant was very busy so service was slow. Food was great apart from the fact everything was too salty. My steak was covered in visible rock salt.

The food was hot, well cooked and very tasty. A very good steak and chips. As we know they can be very unreliable

Food was amazing better than previous visits and portion sizes were great. The butchers cut roast was lovely and the crème brûlée was top notch.

Always a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. The beef roast melted in your mouth and the whole meal was delicious.

First time visiting this evening to celebrate an anniversary and from start to finish was lovely. Staff helpful and friendly. Food was amazing definitely come again.

We went for the chateau Thursday and we were amazed with the quality of food and service.

I was a first time visitor and I was impressed by the quality of the meat and how well cooked it was. Wine list good value and overall, an excellent visit. Our table for 2 was a little too small for comfort and I would have preferred a dining chair instead of the more relaxing bucket chairs we had. Side dishes were small portions but well cooked.

Our party of 5 all had steak and agreed that it was the best steak we’d eaten in many years. Even the salad with Parmesan shavings was very tasty. A fab meal with excellent service and looking forward to visiting again.

Food amazing as always ! But this place does get busy and unfortunately on this occasion the waitress was slacking and seemed rushed off her feet which causes the experience to become stressful so would say more staff needed on busy days.

Food excellent but arrived with inadequate amount of gravy. I asked for more and was told it was £5 extra. This was a Sunday beef roast and if it had arrived with sufficient gravy I wouldn't have asked for more. £5 for a gravy boat? You must be joking. Shame because that spoiled the otherwise excellent food and experience. Then the desert menu thinned out as the Banana Sticky Toffee pudding had run out. Come on guys; this is basic stock control. I travelled miles for your legendary sticky toffee pudding just to be told you'd run out!!!
