Ounce At Worcester

We’re a regular customer but sadly this time the meat was really fatty and hard to cut. Took so much chewing that half way through I gave up. Chips were oily & luke warm. Never had this before.

Excellent food as always. Friendly staff. Seated quickly and didn’t have to wait long for food. Restaurant got very busy by 5pm, the busiest I’ve seen it. Will return - as always!

We had steak which was cooked to perfection thank you ounce we will be back but would like to sit somewhere else but not by the door

Ounce is absolutely amazing and the quid an ounce on Tuesday and Wednesday is exceptional

The place is lovely, we have been there a few times and it never disappoints. The food was lovely but tonight it tasted a little over seasoned. Personal choice though still very tasty.

Perfect in every way, great service, great food. Cant wait till next time

Food was excellent, only thing we didnt like was the bacon and cabbage as it was a bit too much rosemary for us.

The steak was good but the veg sides were very small. They werent consitent in size. The service was incredibly slow! We ended up going to the bar several times to get someones attention We enjoyed the meal but the poor service spoilt the evening...

2 of the 3 steaks were ok. 1 you couldn't even chew. Don't accommodate children. Choice was mac n cheese and burger. Having chose the burger it and smothered in that butter with horse radish and mustard in it. Not what children want so it didn't get touched.

The food was excellent, we had a table booked and were taken straight to it when we arrived. The only issue was the temperature - it was an extremely hot day and the temperature inside was almost unbearable. I know it's not the restaurant's fault that it was a very hot day but we just wanted to eat and leave even though we usually like to have dessert and coffee, so we were a bit disappointed. It wouldn't put us off going on a cooler day though.

I took my friend for a “Thank you” meal, her first time at ounce! She was blown away with the taste & quality of her steak, it was cooked to perfection, staff were lovely & attentive… we will be back!

Had to wait a little time for our food but boy was it worth it! Can’t fault Ounce ……………….

Great food at Ounce as always, and good service, but took us 1/2 hour before our order was taken. We were at the restaurant for an hour and a quarter before food was served. The team at Ounce took the drinks off of the bill which was a nice gesture but didn’t make up for the wait. We would definitely have had dessert and more drinks if we had more time. Hopefully the next visit the wait will match the service and quality of the food.

Really unfortunate as we normally have a lovely time here. Service was poor - we asked for things which never came and very little opportunity to ask, and when we did, we were forgotten about. Food was poor too, which is so unlike Ounce! Perhaps a one off, but it’s a shame as it didn’t live up to its usual standards when we were so looking forward to it.

Visited several times & staff & food always fab …it’s quite a dark restaurant as it’s an old building but that doesn’t spoil the visit.

We have been to Ounce several times now. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The steak is usually absolutely fantastic, literally the best ever, however on our visit today although the taste was still lovely, all of ours were abit chewy and slightly grisly. Shame really because they were cooked to perfection as usual. We always have medium. We all commented about the fact all our cuts today were chewy. It would not put us off going again as we love it there. Just not usual high standard today.

Very busy for lunch but their Tuesday and Wednesday offer is hard to beat. The butcher's cut, which is rump, was very well cooked but if I need to say something, I have had better rump steaks elsewhere (but admittedly, not at that price)

Went at 2pm 19/08 served very quickly and efficiently.Food was quick and great as always.One 8oz steak med/well was a bit too red but nevertheless guest still ate it all and was impressed.Well done guys 😀

My meat was fantastic and the veg was ok , the potatoes a little hard , and it all could have been warmer , we asked for horseradish sauce and a jar of Colman’s with the restaurant own date label stuck on the Sid was plonked onto the table , it didn’t put us off and the staff were friendly enough.

The steak was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was busy but the service did not suffer. Very good overall.

This used to be the best place but now there are so many tables, everyone is squashed in and it's really uncomfortable. It felt like we were being rushed through our meal. Food was very good as always but they have stopped adding salad or mushroom to the butchers cut meal which has always been a part of it. As we have been many times before we didn't read the menu but we're disappointed this is not part of the meal anymore.
