Here we go again. Another quality meal and experience at my favourite restaurant. Service is top form and always personal. Food ordered: 20oz on the £1 and ounce. Wife took hold of an 8oz. Perfect sides of cauliflower cheese, carrots and sprouts(!!). All cooked to perfection. A cheeky glass of Chilean red on the side. Just perfect and I’ll be back soon. Thank you Ounce and your team.

Had a great meal here! Gutted that there is no longer mushrooms or the salad which just meant the meal was perfect!! Tasty- like always and will visit again soon!!

Very good until my husband had the wrong desert brought him so I ate mine on my own which was a bit naff but lovely food

We took a gentleman in an electric wheelchair to eat out and unfortunately the ramp was broken. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate and support us. Food was amazing, best steak ever!

We ordered but had to wait 7 minutes for potatoes after steak and mushrooms served so in end steak was cold mushrooms warm potatoes hot Good peppercorn sauce though

Service not great, not busy and not attentive at all. Quality of the food not as I would have expected or have had when previously visited (hamhock starter and 10oz steak).

Once again the staff and service were flawless. Food not to normal standards tonight. Not sure why, steak arrived cold and no special glaze, garlic button mushrooms were cremated and dry. Not the best. However everyone has a bad evening once in a while. Will be back again soon to give it another go. Thanks again to the team.

Another great experience here at my favourite steak house. 20oz this time with butchers jus (I really must try another side) with the amazing broccoli side. A perfect glass of Chilean red to accompany my steak. Top service as always.

It’s just SO easy to review Ounce, from the service, to the amazing guys and girls that make amazing cocktails, the foods fit for a king, it’s NEVER shy of perfect and I’m new to the area and I’ve been a few times already! Always a lovely bustling atmosphere, all the other diners always look lush, it’s a place for an occasion or easily just for a quick dinner for two if you’re lucky enough to get in! I love every Ounce of this place! 😘

Excellent staff. A member of the bar staff recommended a lovely bottle of Italian wine, which I have to say was delicious, and I would most certainly choose it again on my next visit. All of our steaks were cooked to perfection and the side of mushrooms were equally delicious! Looking forward to our next visit.

Heard great things so thought would try. Surprised the £1 an ounce was on between xmas and new year... lovely atmosphere. Fast service, friendly happy staff and amazing steak, mushrooms and sauce. Best steak ive tasted. Was concerned the butchers cut wouldnt be as nice but i hinestly ate every single morsel, no fat, gristle or buts to avoid and im very very fussy. Will definitely recommend

We had the Sunday butchers board and there was a horrible smell coming from the beef. I’ve eaten here a lot of time but never experienced this before.

Disappointing considering the hype this place gets. Ordered a 12oz fillet. Whilst the steak was cooked to perfection on the inside, it was chargrilled so much that all I could taste was the burnt pan lines on the steak. The Parmesan fries were basically just fries with some Parmesan sprinkled on top (I thought they might be infused better considering the £3 jump in price for them. And the salad was like a bag of mixed salad from the supermarket with again a bit of Parmesan sprinkled on top. Overall disappointed and likely won’t return. It’s a shame

Very good although there menu has gone up in price compared to the menu you have on your quandoo site.

We booked 2 months in advance as we have been several times before and know it gets busy here. We requested a nice table. We arrived and were offered a table for two by the front door! We asked for a better table and were offered the one next to it on the opposite side (still by the front door which every time someone came in or out it was freezing) We both had the Dexter sirloin mine was lovely but husbands was so fatty he couldn’t eat it. Overall a terrible evening! We got the impression the staff really weren’t bothered as long as the bill was paid We left feeling extremely disappointed and sad with a place we used to love to visit and had recommended numerous occasions. Needless to say we will not recommend or visit anymore.
