Amazing as usual.our favourite place to go when we get chance.

We come to Ounce on a regular basis as the whole experience. Last night was no exception, the service from the manager Katie, to the excellent service from Rachel our waitress was outstanding. This matches the food and the ambience. Wonderful dining

We arrived early and it was no trouble to have our table early. Food was fantastic and service was great

When we arrived we had the option to have a drink or go straight to the table. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with excellent food and service.

Made this reservation for my mums 60th birthday there were a couple of issues with some of rhe sides but they soon sorted and nude our evening

Had the chateaubriand special and it was superb. Service was attentive without being overbearing - staff were really friendly and welcoming. Nice atmosphere with some great tunes. Booking was 9pm so had messaged via Quandoo if the special would be available at that time as it was our anniversary. Although didn't receive a reply, it was obviously noted as our waitress brought us out a glass of complimentary prosecco plus a bowl of ice cream to share after our meal which was a really nice touch. Will definitely return again soon!

Having not been for a while, we were great with a smile from the front of house, (Katie I believe) we were a little early and told our table was ready, once seated we had our drinks order taken and delivered quickly, our server Rachael was very attentive, nothing too much trouble was bubbly and smiley. Food was fantastic, steaks cooked perfectly, the butchers ju and bread to die for…. (I want the recipe) cauli cheese and garlic mushrooms added a bit extra to the table too. Thankyou to all the staff for a wonderful experience.

Love it at ounce. The steak is the best you can eat and the staff are always so accommodating. The deal of £1 an ounce is fantastic.

I was really impressed with the quality of my steak, it was an improvement on my previous visit which I am pleased about because this is by far my favourite steak and restaurant!

Great first time visit. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Took the time to seat us and explain the menu in great detail. Steaks were fantastic. Fries and sides were also presented beautifully. Desserts were delicious. I cannot recommend Ounce enough. And it will be our next port of call for a delicious steak!!!

Lovely food and friendly helpful staff great day out with friends

When I have visited Ounce Bar previously, the steak has been invariably excellent. Ounce Bar is 35 miles from Solihull where we live, but I had recommended it very highly to my wife, for whom this was the first visit. We were joined by our granddaughter Hannah. We all eat from the pound per ounce menu. I was again delighted with my steak, but when I asked my wife how hers was, she said it was poor, gristly and tough. We swopped steaks, and she was right. Looking back now, I should have sent it back, but I didn't, but I told the waitress at the end. Hannah's steak was fine. This is not the quality that I was looking for, and not the quality we drove 70 miles on the day for. As it happened, I was at the Ounce Bar again 5 days afterwards, today, and had a wonderful fillet steak, What annoys me most is that your chefs must know in advance whether a steak is going to be good quality or not, and on this occasion your chef actually made the decision to give me a poor steak. If this happens again, it will be my last visit to Ounce Bar. I would welcome the manager phoning me to discuss my comments. It's Graham Clark on 07813 032078

Booked for table for family: They had an amazing time and are still talking about it today! Steak was “Absolutely lovely” and “Staff were ever so polite and welcoming” They now want to come back again!

We had Chateaubriand, The steak was lovely, all the food was full of flavour and well cooked. However the chips and salad with parmesan cheese on top were served in totally wrong way as they were meant to be shared the buckets meant whoever dished there’s first first had all the cheese, due to a hole in the floor I Nearly fell off my chair, this should have been dealt with better, if It had been my wife the fall could have been very serious. slightly too pricey for the portions size. Plates were too big for table, with our meal in the middle the very hot plates hung off the edge of the table. The box that our two knives were presented in was so dirty I was able to write my name In the greasy lid. The Eton mess pudding was mainly cream with hardly any meringue , tasted great but wasn’t an Elton mess One strawberry cut into 6 and 1 raspberry was just too stingy. We had a good meal staff friendly and efficient but too many issues needs to br better value and
