Tried on a recommendation and couldn’t fault the food. Obviously had to sit outside due to COVID. Staff were lovely and food plentiful. The only 2 things that would have made it better would be that if the plates had been warmed, then the meal would have stayed hot long enough to eat it, and we were seated underneath an overgrown vine that my daughter kept banging her head on and catching her hair. It either needs tying back or pruning. Luckily the people next to us left and we were able to shuffle the table across a bit We will definitely return but will wait for indoor dining to be back.

Lovely atmosphere and outside dining. Service slow, had to ask for cutlery and salt and pepper. Very disappointing meat as beef very fatty. Came to pay the bill, had asked for extra gravy and found had been charged £3.50 for it!

We visited Ounce on the 28th May. The food was incredible as it always was, the staff were very friendly and attentive. It’s a shame the weather was quite cold as we would have stayed longer after our meal. We will definitely be back once indoor seating is allowed again!

Why didn’t I try the Butchers jus sooner, thanks to the of flavour blue cheese crumb this is now definitely my favourite sauce. Best steak house around by a mile.
