Good food, good staff, good atmosphere, good price, good decor

Everything was great. Didn’t wait for a table actually moved to sit in the sun with another diner. Great service and attention

Menu wasn’t as on website. The Sunday menu was much more limited than what we had previewed added to that they ran out of Sunday Roasts. Alternatives were limited below average at best. Won’t eat here again

Only thing was they let a guest with a baby play baby videos so loudly it drowned out music and conversation - but overall really lovely.

First time at Papillon and found the staff great and knowledgable, wide menu, we went with the stone baked pizza which was great, thin and crispy tasty and huge. Wine list very good, prices are very reasonable. Even the low level music selection was good, no Coldplay! 👍

The serving staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the food was interesting and tasty. The only negative was having to endure another customer’s loud, high-pitched laughter.

I usually love Papillon in the week and highly rate the food. This time, I'm not sure they received the booking as no table was reserved ("you can just sit here" was the casual response). Also, the Saturday night food was no where near the usual standard (the pizza and broccoli tender stem were luke warm) and I felt they had been thrown together rather than made with the usual love (but we couldn't be bothered complaining, as they seemed very busy and we were pushed for time). I understand Saturday is a busy night, so personally I'll stick to my mid-week lunchtime or early evening visits. The food and experience then is much nicer.

The restaurant interior is beautiful and staff were pleasant and accommodating. We ordered burgers for mains which were poorly presented - cheap plastic cheese not fully melted in the burger and a portion of chips dumped on the plate. It would take little extra effort/attention to detail to plate this course up in a more acceptable way.

Only said 5 to 'noise levels' as there was a couple of very lively tables drinking Prosecco. Both myself and my sister really enjoyed the visit. The food was really good indeed and service to support as well. Looking forward to my next visit.

The food last night in the set menu was lovely, especially the hake main. The jazz night and the environment was so relaxing and welcoming. I’d definitely come again and recommend it to anyone.

Excellent food and staff , due to Chinese New Year they where serving Chinese dishes which was all very nice. I have eaten here before this and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service from the day to day menu
