MEZCAL CANTINA Mexican Bar & Restaurant

It was our first time visit, the only thing we would say is that our mains arrived before we had finished our starters. Ideally I would have preferred that we were asked if we were ready for our mains.

Really friendly staff and great food and cocktails. Will be coming back!

Amazing food, margaritas are fantastic, and the staff are absolutely lovely. Always have a great time. Tamarind margaritas are so tasty! I don't think they're on the menu, but they'll make you one if you ask.

Food and drinks were great it’s just that the service is painfully slow, have been a couple of times before and had the same thing. One or two extra waiting staff/bar staff would improve experience greatly

Mezcal is a fantastically authentic, family run Mexican joint with great food and quality Frozen margaritas. I've been coming here since they were in Dalston for many years, and have carried on that great quality nice moving to Stoke Newington. The Taco Sharing platter was amazing, with the new veggie taco blowing my mind. I came with a group of friends and was perfect to catch up in the booth at the back of the restaurant - feeling of the Mexican dessert at night in the middle of London.

Excellent food and even better cocktails. Cocktails are made from natural ingredients and you can see they are made with time and attention to detail. The food is exquisite, we had corn chips and guac with ribs for starters, their ribs were amazing. We then had veg nachos and pulled pork tacos for seconds, both great options. The portions are big so we had lots left over but we wanted to try a bit of all. We was this all down with regular and Smokey margaritas and followed up with Pisco sours and their house margarita which I cannot remember the name. All the cocktails were excellent, but the Pisco sours was soooo moreish!! It's a family run place and we had the pleasure of meeting the matriarch, but a lovely woman so chatty and very service oriented. The place itself is really trendy, with exposed raw brick, attention to details and cozy as a Mexican restaurant should be (don't misinterpret here - we did not feel on top of any other table so cozy but not cramped). Loved it, been trying to go there on two other occasions so glad to finally made it there.

Fantastic experience: great food that puts Wahaca to shame; excellent cocktails; lovely, lovely owners and staff. Love this place and had a fab New Year's Eve there. Try the nachos (best in London) and the mezcal from Oaxahaca

A nice family run authentic Mexican restaurant . A good atmosphere with good choice of Mexican cushine. Food was good and would visit again in the future.
