One of the funkiest Asian eateries around Holloway, Islington and Highbury, Pho House backs up their cool decor and stylish design with seriously satisfying refined Vietnamese food. The dishes are taken from the classic canon – pho, bun bo hue, bo luc lac, bo la lot and the like – but they are taken to a level well above the average for London Vietnamese restaurants. For something really special try Pho House’s green papaya salad with spicy Vietnamese beef jerky, grilled chicken with lotus leaf or hearty banh xeo, though really you can’t go wrong whatever you choose here. Pho House is right beside Highbury & Islington tube station on Holloway Road, so it’s a convenient meeting point for group dinners, though if bringing a crowd advance bookings are highly recommended because this place is often packed.
The pho was very tasty and served quickly. Overall it was fully booked that night so the service was a bit slow at servicing the tables but the waiter apologised and was very friendly despite being in a hurry.
Excellent food and really cool place. Also, ace beer on tap and bottled. The summer rolls are a favourite of mine and the complimentary orange and green tea are the cherry on top. Highly Recommend
Good food, service and value for a meal before the match. Have been here 4 times now and never been disappointed. At last Holloway Road is improving
Great service and interior, good food but little bit overly greasy compared to other vietnamese dishes I've eaten. However great experience and staff were really so friendly
Friendly efficient service. Delicious food with plenty to choose from. Good value too. Great for a pre-gig dinner if attending The Garage or Union Chapel
Delivered starters with the mains, overload on noodles and lack of sauce to accompany. Decent food but ended up having to have a second dinner a few hours later, so definitely felt a bit short changed.
For a quick catch up with a friend on a monday it's perfect. Good price. Food was great. Atmosphere was great. service was okay. Thank you
Fast and okish service, lovely food and a good price. The Christmas decorations were tacky but I liked the permanent art on the brick walls.
