Great food, great service, looked after the seven of us very well.

We were well pleased with our meal and service. I would definitely return if I lived in the area and recommend it to anyone that likes true Italian cuisine.

Il cameriere was a bit grumpy and said we had our table for 2 hours and then we would have to leave. He then seemed to change his mind and said we could stay for as long as we wanted. It was an odd atmosphere.

Great atmosphere, very welcoming service, delicious food. Ragù di venison was our meal of choice and it is highly recommended melts in the mouth. Waiters name was Francesco and his service was 10/10 spot on will definitely return.

Visited Sunday evening, on taking our seats we were told there was one item on the starters and one item on the carne section was left. We ordered our drinks and meal. Later the waiter advised us none of our choices were available due to a large party. Very very disappointing

Lovely wee place with great service. But they had no friarelli and no decaf coffee which was disappointing. And try not to sit near the door as an icy blast can blow in! Otherwise, a fab spot!

Friendly accommodating staff and really good food. We ate the day before the new menu launched but they were happy to cook items from it. Deserves to be busier. Wine particularly good value.

Great Italian food at the Piccolino. Our meal was early at 5pm before going to the theatre. Relaxed atmosphere, staff were friendly and very helpful. Meal was flavoursome aubergine, meatballs and soup to start followed by sea bass cooked perfectly, stuffed chicken amazing and rosemary potatoes were fragrant and vegetables fresh. We sampled a couple of red wines and enjoyed the white chocolate cheesecake to finish. Delicious!

Food ok but had to remind server for water and thrm they turned up with the wrong starter. Also on arrivelto this restaurant for the first time felt the server too familiar and misheard heard the booking name and started doing shooting actions! Only booked the restaurant and was close to the theatre

Booked this restaurant for Valentines day, atmosphere was great and food was excellent too. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone who likes good Italian food in the Edinburgh area!

Food generally very good but slow service meant that much of it was too cold. Great promise but disappointing. What a pity - seemed understaffed

Absolutely adore Piccolinos and can’t stay away I bring all my friends there as highly recommend it for lunch as great service and quality food.

Took my mum on Saturday and she loved it. Very friendly staff who make you feel most welcome and the most authentic Italian food. Great value lunch deal at £9.99 for pasta and wine or £8.99 if you choose a soft drink.

Staff is very kind and food quality of high standard. "Mini-parmigiana" is delicious. Monkfish an extraordinary italian scottish mix. A real Italian restaurant! Very good!

A decent meal for a good price o nthe voucher. THe venue suffers from its location but the team and the food deserve to be enjoyed, I hope this place makes a success because we need more places like it.
