Established all the way back in 1968, Ping On has made a name for itself as one of Edinburgh’s best Chinese restaurants and the quality of food on offer here is a testament to that. Specialising in Cantonese and Peking cuisine, Ping On is the place to go for a real taste of China in the Scottish capital. Whet your appetite by trying some honey chilli chicken wings or a bowl of rainbow seafood soup before chowing down on some aromatic duck served with Chinese pancakes, sweet and sour king prawn, crispy shredded chicken in chilli sauce or squids with fresh ginger and spring onion. Located on Deanhaugh Street in Comely Bank, with its outstanding reputation Ping On attracts diners from all over the city. To avoid disappointment, booking a table in advance is recommended.
Dined at Ping On lots of time. Food was amazing. We had seafood menu for 2 and even when restaurant got busy we were given a break between courses and never felt rushed. Pleasant surroundings with friendly, attentive staff. Good value for money. We will definitely be back and I would recommend the Ping On to family, friends and anyone reading this review.
beautiful, fresh healthy food. fantastic price at £7.50 3-course business lunch. Have not been for many years. Very happy to be reminded. Kids loved too.
