For contemporary British cuisine served in a classic setting, Pipers is one of our favourites. Situated inside of an 18th century building that features oak ceiling beams and rustic stone walls, this Garstang restaurant and bar is as cosy as it gets. Split into three separate areas including the bar, a front room and a back room, the restaurant can seat a capacity of up to 30 people and is the perfect place for private functions. Open every day of the week except for Monday, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to try specialities like Pipers’ pan-seared duck breast, Cumbrian venison or oven roasted lamb rump. Located on the High Street in the town centre, Pipers is a fine choice for modern English cuisine with tradition in mind.

Awesome food with lots to choose from and very friendly service. Not cheap but not silly prices. The best place to eat in Garstang, by a long way!
Pipers is a lovely quaint little restaurant in the heart of Garstang. The staff are fantastic and the food is delicious we would definitely recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning very shortly.
Beautifully and imaginatively prepared main meal which was piping hot on serving with wonderful blend of flavours Excellent desserts to round up a superb meal
Great atmosphere, great service and great food. The young guys on the front of house are excellent. Top marks have to go to Ian and his team
A nice private restaurant in Garstang High Street. The food is nicely presented. I would say that they use fresh ingredients which are freshly prepared, unlike some restaurants and restaurant chains I have visited. At the Pipers service is good and the staff make you feel welcome. I have rated it 5 and if the prices a were a little lower a 6 would be given. If they were a little lower I could go more often rather than just for an occasion, but you get what you pay for.
It was our first visit to Pipers and we were not disappointed, fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere and fabulous service ~ well worth every penny, thank you we had a lovely evening.
The food and the presentation were excellent, would recommend the restaurant to all friends and acquaintances. The staff were welcoming and friendly, they were attentive yet not pushy, you had as long as you needed to chose from the menu and didn't rush you in between courses. Excellent night night.
We were made to feel very welcome. Staff were attentive without being intrusive and gave us time with the menus to make our choices. The food was served beautifully, and tasted delicious. A lovely place in which to relax, chat and dine.
Food really good. Staff helpful, young waitress really polite (I think it was she first shift) did really well, senior waiter didn't notice that the music had stopped and killed the atmosphere, was also slow at being attentive. I was trying to leave because we had somewhere to be, took 20/25 mins to get the bill and another 10 before I could pay.
First visit. We chose dishes from the a la carte menu - all very good. Service lacked a little finesse, but was a good pace - we were neither ignored nor rushed. Saw dishes coming out for the fixed price menu and they looked good too. Will go back.
Food was excellent and the service was very good. Sunday lunch menu is good value for money however we ordered off the main menu. Quite a few dishes unavailable the night we went on steaks and starters however it didn't spoil the experience and there was plenty of choice
Went on Wednesday for my wife's birthday. It was so good we went back the following night. We ate from the a la carte but the 2 courses for £12 , 3 for £15 on Wednesday is great value
The Wednesday night deal is excellent value, as long as you're not a fussy person. There are only three choices for each course i.e. for main course - one meat, one fish and one vegetarian. having said that the food was delicious and very well presented.
Nice to eat at a restaurant which has a personal touch rather than a chain. Good, freshly prepared food which may mean a bit of a wait, but well worth it. Quality food and friendly service.
Had a lovely meal.. my husband and I had the chateaubriand and we are every bit.. the steak was perfect along with the fat chips vegetables and 2 sauces.. will definitely have that again. Very friendly staff
All good, service good, food, wine excellent... The do what they say they will do.. supply and support excellent food and service. Cosy, warm and friendly, just like home....
Have used pipers many times and never been disappointed. Food always of the highest quality using local produce where possible, friendly efficient service in an olde worlde setting.
Excellent quality and we'll presented and very good value. We would highly recommend the Piper to anyone. A new discovery for us and definitely worth many more visits.
Amazing food. Enjoyed it immensely. Lovely surroundings and friendly staff. Definitely coming back. Excellent value too. Worth every penny. Very highly recommended by all our party
It was amazing! The food was excellent, the service was fabulous and the atmosphere relaxing and welcoming. A lovely, warm place to have an evening out.
