Service was poor and slow (they stood around chatting and forgot our order), food was very low quality (burger had bits of cartilage while the chips were dry and didn't taste right), and the atmosphere was of a dingy student bar rather than a restaurant.
Visited for Mother's Day Place was very dark and dingy so sat outside food was served Luke warm had a Sunday sharing platter very dissapionted and really expensive for what we had £24 for 2 very basic Sunday dinners I will not be visiting again Spoiled my Mother's Day
Staff and food were great, but unfortunately they were having problems due to refurbishment work over running. Would return as menu was very varied and appealing .
Nice atmosphere & music, very attentive & friendly staff. The food was spot on, vegetables perfectly cooked & not mush, gorgeous little crunchy roast potatoes & the beef was so tasty. Particularly lived the real gravy. Despite it being a very quick stop we thoroughly enjoyed X
Visited on match day. Busy but our reserved table was waiting for us. Set menu for match day was £19.50 including a drink. Food was good and service excellent. Recommended.
We had the sharing board for Sunday lunch, the food was lovely. The staff in the restaurant were really polite and helpful and nothing was too much for them. Definitely recommend the chocolate brownie!
Excellent afternoon tea. The sandwiches are lovely and fresh and there are so many lovely cakes. Also the tea is served in a china teapot and cups and is piping hot. It is a very friendly place and I would definitely recommend it. This was my third visit to Pitch Eatery.
The food was lovely and service good but unfortunately some other diners were very loud. Dessert was especially nice and all good value for money
Really good food, good atmosphere and great location right in the city centre. I would really recommend people try this little hidden gem of a bar.
The 2-4-1 cocktails were lovely, everything was good value for money. Relaxed feel to the place and really friendly staff. The presentation of my food was excellent. Downsides were grubby sticky menus, some of my food was cold and chewy. My friend's food was presented poorly and didn't taste great either. I also found it strange that they used a table in the corner next to ours as a dumping ground for dirty plates rather than taking them away to clean! Lots of potential, just needs a few tweaks!
Food & service excellent. Best lamb ever tasted in the UK. Waitress very kind and helpful. Noise unbearable, very loud music, impossible to communicate. Such a shame . . . .
