Polpetto

Over dressed/salted limp salads and really poor pasta dishes lacking finesse. So disappointed as I really love their sister restaurant Polpo.

Such a gem - cosy, romantic atmosphere with delicious food!

The food was cold when it got to our table. The pasta carbonara had a very strange taste. Everything was very slow. Had to ask for my glass of wine a couple times. Our waitress had no idea what was going on, it could have been her first day but it was pretty bad.

Good food but too much noisy. Price a little bit high

I did not find as good as reputation led me to believe but the actual restaurant, staff and location was excellent.

Started with an Aperol spritz which was flat and tiny . Very small portions of food. Absolutely no vegetables with the meat but it was a nice place to meet but overall VERY disappointing. The risotto was nice but again a very mean portion. Had to feed my family again when we got home.

Polpetto is not the same as a few months ago. The food was appalling and really overpriced. We will not come back again, even though we used to love the place.

I love Polpo, the Polpetto restaurant had a slightly different menu than the rest however was still lovely.

Service was terrible. Wine wasn’t cold, the waiter volunteered to put in the fridge until the food turned up, then forgot it and I had to go fetch him. Plates to eat desert arrived 5 minutes after the desert itself. Cutlery came after the plates. One person in the party arrived after the other three and ordered afterwards. Her order came all at once. When she asked for the main plate to comeback later they offered to keep it (pasta) warm. She asked for it to be made fresh and to arrive at the same time as the main plates of the rest of the table. When they arrived hers did not. Service was like first week at school without teachers.

Nice service, people from staff where nice. Good food however not well presented and quite small portion.

Disappointing. Sea bream with fennel plus one of the pasta dishes was good. Linguine with crab was flavourless and contained hardly any crab. Chargrilled squid was undercooked and sparse. Tiny portions for the money. Service was very slow and poor. We had to ask several times for each item and even an empty plate to enable us to share. The large sea bass arrived without any serving implements. One faulty card machine for the whole place meant that everyone was waiting an eternity to pay their bill. We won’t be returning.

Very relaxed and friendly place with a simple, fairly small menu but all seasonal and excellent value.

Wonderful atmosphere, we didn't feel rushed, but were well taken care of by staff.
