The room is somewhat basic, the tables are far too small. The red wine is unacceptably warm, 27 C should be 16, undrinkable. The standards of cooking are average. I bought the book and do a better job at home. The recipes do not match the cooking standards.

I was really looking forward to eating here and enjoyed it but the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. The starters were delicious but the pasta was overcooked which I think is pretty unimpressive for an Italian restaurant! A mouse ran through the dining room while we were eating.

Waited 10 - 15 minutes once seated to offered water, which on a hot day, with a client was embarrassing. Food was great, meatballs were tasty and Zucchini fries we super. but we finished early due to poor service.

service was very patchy - bill and 2 espressos took 35 minutes to arrive

Lovely relaxed venue with the normal buzz that you get in an Italian. No rush with leaving the table either. Food was lovely and overall I would recommend and also I would return when I am in this part of London

So so lovely, the food was delicious and the waiter was very friendly. I love the atmosphere in Polpo, you really feel like you're in Venice. The Fritto Misto and trout were really tasty and great portions 👍

Great little restaurant, super tasty food. Sharing style but the portions are a good size so you only need to order about two plates each.

Really relaxed atmosphere, great food and drink options including for vegetarians. And to top it off dog friendly as well! Will definitely be returning.

The restaurant staff should try and make sure that kids do not run around the restaurant like it is a playground.

Exceptional service from knowledgeable staff who made an extra effort without knowing our circumstances...

I didn’t give the happiest face for 2 reasons. The first one is that I don’t like to drink Bellinis out of a water glass and secondly that they’ve changed the crab linguine. I preferred it before it became all about the creamy cheese taste and less about the chilli tomato taste.
