Pizzas and pizzettes were plentiful but bland. Lasagne was tasty. Boddingtons bitter, Moretti lager and pinot grigio wine all fine, however the bill was £24 too much with extras added that we did not order. Also query about Food Standards Agency mark 4 on door when recently reported as 1

Confusion with order leading to main courses arriving at different times. My main course (duck) was tasteless.

Went for a birthday meal for a small number of people and were treated brilliantly throughout the evening, nothing was too much trouble and we cannot wait to find an excuse to go back!

Have previously dined at the restaurant numerous times, even travelled from Stone to eat here and it has always been amazing. Today, not wowed and seemed just average. Not sure what has happened since my last visit.

On a wild wet windy evening we were greeted with warmth and good humour. The meals were delicious and the service was impeccable. Always a lovely atmosphere at Portofino!

Early mid-week evening visit, prior to a visit to the Floral Pavilion Theatre, and it was fairly quiet. Disabled parking available in front of restaurant. We were shown to a table by the window and waited on by an extremely pleasant gentleman. We had 2 courses with minimal wait for both. The food was very nice, a good rapport with the waiter making it a very pleasant occasion and definitely worth a repeat visit.

Food was excellent, service was too, with a perfect time left between courses for us to relax and not have the feeling of being rushed that you get at some restaurants. Reasonable prices as well for the quality.

My only niggle was that when we paid the bill in cash including approximately 20% tip nobody came back with receipt and a 'thank you '. Other than that the food and service was exceptional.
