Dishing out Latin American charm and scintillating food by the bucket load, Primoz Cafe Restaurant puts on a show a lot bigger than its small but lively space on Fulwood Road in Broomhill. Cosy and vibrant, this west Sheffield favourite is known for its energetic, friendly service and generous portion sizes, and it’s a place almost impossible to leave in anything but a great mood. Their lunch and dinner menus showcase the flavours of Latin American cuisine spotted with strong Mediterranean and international influences. Reserve a table then grab a drink and share some tapas with pals.
Excellent food and service. New owners are making changes which we hope will not change the experience. A new menu is apparently being produced. We hope not too much changes since Primoz is our favourite Broomhill eatery.
A small intimate setting with a nice atmosphere for enjoying beautifully cooked food. We went during a busy period and waited a while for food so the owners apologised and gave us free shots. We didn't mind the wait in such a relaxed atmosphere where we could enjoy our drinks and catch up with friends. The staff were friendly and very helpful with the menu. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful tasty authentic food. Fantastic steak , huge portions and calamari was especially delicious. Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere with a Latin American feel. Definitely would come again.
At Primoz Cafe Restaurant the evening will be based around you, thanks in no small part to exceptional service from the team behind the wheel. It’s a family-run restaurant, we should add, which only enhances the warm, buzzy feel of the place that, given as well it’s location on Fulwood Road in Broomhill, means it’s popular with everyone in Sheffield. Families, friends, students and lovers all flock to Primoz and fill its rustic wooden chairs and tables quicker than a flash. There are smiles on faces even before any of the South American cuisine has been served.
Whether off the daytime or the evening main menu, Broomhill diners will find big plates or little nibbles to quash an appetite of any size. We like the crispy deep-fried corn flour arepitas with grilled chorizo and halloumi, the tender and irresistible calamari, or a traditional bandeja paisa – beans with slow pan fried herbs, shredded beef, fried pork belly, rice, chorizo, avocado and a few more treats. You’d also be wise to try one of Primoz’s generous and high-quality steaks, some of which are some of the best you’ll find in Sheffield.
