I'm a frequent diner here. It's a well-run, classy place serving excellent French food and great wine at very affordable prices. The service is just right: there when you want it; not when you don't. Everyone I've taken here says the same things: 'fantastic' and 'how lucky you are that this is local to you'.

Always a lovely meal and atmosphere at this cosy local bistro. Food is consistently good and the wine list is well balanced. Staff very knowledgeable.

Lovey food and great service. Tasty Bellini, we all loved the goats cheese popcorn. Delicious plate of charcuterie. Kids enjoyed their hot dogs and we had very good steak frites.

We had a brilliant brunch at Provender. There’s a reason we always pick here for a special occasion. The food is perfect and the service is tip top!

Have visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and met up with some friends there. They loved it. As always excellent service, delicious food ( reasonably priced) and pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Can’t fault.

Have been for both breakfast and dinner here. Great quality food. Friendly service. Dinner is a must as the food is so good. Need to book. Breakfast is good quality food cooked well. Standard menu nothing particularly exciting and coffee isn't very good.

Amazing service and the food was cooked to perfection (steak frites). The staff could not have done more to look after us which made the experience even better. Will definitely visit again. Thank you so much for a lovely evening.

Very nice staff, the restaurant was very busy and service was a bit slow, they forgot our mains order but once the food arrived it was worth the wait.

Fabulous meal and excellent service, what more is there to say. This is the best restaurant for miles and even if I lived further away, I’d still find the time to go there.

Good and varied menu, the recommended meal of the day is always a good choice,excellent staff, very welcoming. This restaurant feels cosy but not cramped.

Good food, great service & reasonably priced. WE mixed and matched of the prix fix menu and the a la carte. 4 people, starters, main and 2 deserts, with a bottle of wine for £140 (incl service). Good value.

We were 2 couples ,one made up of a French national and her partner who had lived in France for over 20 years and they just loved the truly authentic feel of the place. The wine they chose was excellent and all the dishes were prepared and served in tune with metropolitan France. They had come up from Bristol and it was a joy to see them so relaxed over the evening in their familiar native surroundings. A lovely place and nothing was forced or faux. A genuine little part of France residing in Wanstead.

Great modern French restaurant, my wife and I are both vegetarian we really enjoyed the food and the fantastic Service, looking forward to going back soon.

We had the set three course lunch on Friday 20th April. A table outside in the sunshine added to the ambiance. Very good value indeed. Steak was rare as requested and spot on. Service was efficient and personal.

The staff were welcoming, polite and attentive and we chose a meal from the Prix Fixe menu which represented excellent value for money. The lunch used fresh ingredients was well presented and delicious. Will certainly be making a repeat trip to this little bit of France in Wanstead.

Wedding anniversary meal. Well up to usual standards. Fish soup and Scallops to start. Mains: Monkfish curry and Rabbit . All 4 excellent. Thank you.

Good food in a straightforward way - classic bistro. And some nice touches such as knowing who is having which dish. Some mains need side dishes and some don't, so best to ask.

Excellent food and service with a really nice atmosphere. Fairly regular customer and always have an enjoyable experience. If you want a nice place to go then this is it.

Lovely food, great service, nice ambience and a very enjoyable evening, thank you. Some differences to the online menu on the fixed price menu, but still enjoyable, although I do feel there should be a chicken dish available as an alternative.

Great service and good food. The fixed price menu offers very good value . Wine list also very good at Provender. So all in all a really enjoyable experiience.

I have been before and will go again. Really pleasant lunch. Food was nice, service attentive and environment calm and relaxing. Would recommend for a family get together.

Great Sunday lunch in a lively buzzing atmosphere. Roast beef and all the trimmings was excellent. The fish of the day was herb crusted cod - a generous portion with beautiful new potatoes on the side. I have always had lovely food at this restaurant and today did not disappoint.

Great food and relaxed service. The steak was delicious but I would have liked the escargot to be more garlicky. Just a personal preference. Will definitely be going back.

Such a great restaurant, food always excellent and staff friendly. Enjoyed the 3 course fixed menu this time and the steak was perfectly done. Recommend the Malbec on the wine list very smooth.

I would recommend the cheese soufflé, the rabbit and the fish soup. This serves genuine French food that is well cooked and served and reasonably priced. The lunchtime menu is very good value.

Friendly staff. Great food. All the staff didn’t sing happy birthday when they brought a candle over as per most places but I sang on my own. Lol. Would Still recommend
