Amazing food; service and venue. I’ve been visiting Provender several times a year since 2013 and today’s meal was the most enjoyable so far. Best restaurant for miles around. Would highly recommend it.

Cannot really fault this restaurant - the Christmas menu was traditional with a French twist and all extremely delicious. Small point, an additional green vegetable would not have gone amiss with the turkey main course. The service was attentive but not intrusive, the atmosphere was nice and the meal was a reasonable price for the quality. Recommended!

We have been to this bistro a number of times and on all occasions we were happy with the food & service and the staff were very accommodating.

Another nice lunch at Provender. Always good food only minor fault this time was service a little slow at the end of our meal but other than that a lovely meal.

Relaxed location, friendly staff and a wide varied menu. Our choices were very tasty and well presented, especially the creme caramel which is exceptionally good!

A little bit of France that's - very fortunately - landed in Wanstead. A good value set menu, good wines, simple but stylish decor, and welcoming service. I've introduced many of my friends to the place. No wonder we all keep going back.

The food is always wonderful. Provender is my favourite restaurant in Wanstead. I travel from Brentwood to come to the restuarant because it is so good.

Top notch food, great wine, good ambience and professional service. Three course “prix fixe” is very reasonably priced for quality of the food. Nice not to have to trek all the way into central London for a nice meal!

An excellent place to relax and enjoy a scrumptious meal waited on by friendly professional staff. Lovely for lunch, supper, delicious coffee and breakfast. Good value too. Thoroughly recommend it for all the family or just the grown ups.

Our first visit but it won't be the last. It was a birthday treat so we splashed out but it was still good value. Lovely food, attentive but friendly service. Good acoustics -which is something rare now- so we didn't have to shout at each other! The fixed price menu looks like exceptionally good value with a good choice of food.

As well as eating I was having a business meeting, which slowed us and made us a bit preoccupied. Staff really good and food delicious. Provender maintains its excellent standards. Patricia

we were celebrating our 42nd Wedding Anniversary at lunch time and had a lovely meal. only comment would be about the green pepper sauce for my wife's steak - not very peppery and too creamy. My wife soon rectified this by adding lots of black pepper and a little salt - much better!

Delicious starters and mains, the desserts were a bit average in comparison. Service was great, it was attentive but not pushy. We went on a Friday and although we had to book a week in advance, the restaurant had a relaxed yet lively atmosphere.

Provender offers a lovely classic French brasserie experience. Friendly service. Great wine list. I would have appreciated a few more specials (there was only a fish of the day when I dined there on a Friday night)

A now well-established restaurant in Wanstead which has maintained very high standards over the years.Good service and some truly excellent dishes. Prix Fixe menu very good value, wines well priced and altogether a great place to eat. The only suggestion I would make is that, if like, me you eat there quite a lot, some 'specials' or new items for the menu would be good. I have eaten my way through most of it!
