The best Turkish food I’ve ever eaten! Amazing! Staff were lovely we had Amy she was so lovely! First time visiting here will definitely be back! Hopefully some one else can drive so I can sample the cocktails next time! The mocktail pina colada was yummy though! Thank you Prowse for lovely meal and an amazing dining experience 🫶

Everything very high standard. Excellant staff, gorgeous food and drink. Free starters and shared sweet generous. We’re booking for larger reunion in March as its a super place to celebrate.

Fantastic food and service, which of course are the most important things about a restaurant. The music from the speakers was a bit too loud which spoiled the ambiance somewhat, and the drinks prices were rather high. Overall though, we and our friends had a great experience and would come here again.

The food was amazing, very tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. However, they were very busy and this meant that the service was a bit hit and miss.

Great food and service we had a lovely lunch today. We all ate from the lunch menu plenty of choice everyone loved their food and had a great time.

Sunday lunchtime 22/2/26. Admittedly we were the only one’s in the restaurant so service was centred just on us but our waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. Obviously we didn’t have to wait too long before our food arrived. My Dad had lamb shank and he said it was the best he’d ever had. I had the vegetarian moussaka and it was delicious. Honestly, the food here is exceptional. This restaurant used to be the Flying Pasta and changed hands a couple years ago. The decor is quite plush and the toilets modern and very clean. The ambience was very welcoming. In my opinion 5 stars, we will definitely be coming again.

The food was very nice, the staff friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The floor was very slippery - it was pouring with rain and so entering with wet shoes onto a tiled floor was an accident waiting to happen.

Wow, wow, wow. What a fantastic restaurant this is. The food is to die for, Although it was very busy, everyone was worked off their feet, but the staff were attentive and very professional in the way they took orders and served the food. This is one special place to dine and I will deffo recommend it. We will be back 100%. Thank you Prowse, you are legends.

An early dinner with my Dad before the theatre. There wasn't anyone else in at the start, but we weren't made to feel rushed, and it wasn't too slow. The food was spot on and the price. Thank you :) The fact that my Dad didn't complain to me about something was amazing in itself!

Our first time dining at Prowse and we will most definitely be back! We booked in advance as we were attending an early show at the Cliffs Pavillion round the corner. Food was great and plentiful. We had some complimentary breads and dips. I had the halloumi fries to start and my husband had the courgette frittes, both were great. I then had the chicken shish and my husband had the mixed shish. Both meals were delicious and very filling! Food was piping hot throughout and the service was very prompt considering it was a busy Saturday evening and all staff members were polite. We also liked the whole ambience and vibe of the restaurant too and throughly enjoyed the live piano player/singer too - he was great!. Thanks again for a lovely evening Prowse!

Absolutely fabulous food. Really tasty. Lovely ambience with live music, just in the background, not too loud. But holy moly, the service can only be described as 'chaotic'. Nobody knows what anyone else is doing.... we had to ask to order drinks as the waitress that sat us down was elsewhere serving food. We were left for ages before we spoke to someone. Food came out without dips, which then took an age to arrive as the waiter was off elsewhere after I spoke to him. Nobody asked us if we wanted deserts before presenting us with the bill. But someone then did ask.... after everything was cleared away and we had paid the final bill!!! Would definitely go back, as the food is amazing. But the service definitely needs looking into (from an organisational point of view)

Pre theatre meal. All good, tables a bit close but all restaurants in area are short for space.

The food was lovely but the service wasn’t great. When the cold meze was brought out (just left on the table no introduction), after a while I had to ask for the bread. Then half way through eating our starter they brought out a side dish saying nothing and walked off. He then came back and said can I take the starter bits away - we said no as you can see we’re still eating! This was within about 10 mins. We asked him to take the side dish away. Then within 30 seconds another waiter asked if he could take away our starter as our main was ready and we said no as we were still eating! At the end we wasn’t asked if we wanted dessert, waited 10 minutes - which we didn’t - but had to call a waiter to ask for a coffee. We appreciated that it had only just reopened but to serve a coffee in a takeaway cup when it absolutely could have been served in a glass or ceramic cup was really poor, given the prices! As I say the food was lovely, the decor nice, but the overall service experience needs looking at, if you want people to return. We were served by 4 different people at once - which may explain the feeling of it being a tad unorganised. No real personal touch or warmth. I eat at Bogaz in Rayleigh a lot, the food and experience is always 5 star, prices are about the same. I highly recommend the owners visiting there to see how it’s done!

First time visiting and we will be back. It was extremely busy. Tables wouldn't leave after the first sitting, food was longer than expected but there were apologies all round. Food was very tasty and good portions. Customer service was excellent.

Lovely, fresh & well prepared food. Nice & warm & welcoming on a freezing night. An all round lovely meal. Coffee machine wasn’t working but they still made me a nice coffee :)

It was a last-minute booking and they accommodated us with no problems.
