If you’re looking for an incitement to a riot of Indian and Pakistani flavour and colour then look no further than Purbani, whose name, indeed, translates to ‘Eastern incitement’. Located just steps from Wanstead Station, at the beginning of the restaurant gauntlet running north up this northeast London suburb’s High Street, Purbani is a verifiable household name when it comes to subcontinental cuisine – such a reputation is to be expected for a restaurant that’s been in the highly competitive Indian food game for over thirty years. A smaller sized venue with just 30 seats, it’s sensible to book well ahead for this popular haven for London’s spice lovers.
Booked online which, was very easy. Excellent food, excellent service and at a reasonable price, will be back again for the Lamb Shank. Thoroughily recommend it!!
Fantastic little restaurant, as per usual the service was great and the food outstanding! The non-vegetable Thali is a favourite of mine, you get a nice selection of the different flavours/curries on the menu.
Fab restuarant, very cozy but lovely staff and great food. Me and my boyfriend were treated very well and the food and atmosphere was great. Will definitely go back.
