Rancho Steak House

Excellent food - both had steak, and it was excellent quality and cooked to perfection. Good service - prompt, but not rushed. Good wine list.

I cant believe ive just tried this place and its been around for nearly 2 years! I would recommend to anyone who loves a steak or ribs, portions are great and good value for money. Give it a go ....

Excellent service, the atmosphere was busy but enjoyable, the food was very well presented and very tasty. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit here again.

We had very average food with very average service. With such a range of excellent places to eat in Edinburgh it is hard to recommend Rancho.

Great value for money and our steaks were cooked perfectly, staff are very friendly. We will be going back very soon and telling everyone about this gem of a restaurant.

We are from Russia and visited in Edinburgh the second time because of a business trip. Colleagues recommended us to visit Rancho. It is the really nice place. After the long work day, sea bass with wine is delicious! Cozy restaurant.

Welcomed and seated in a friendly manner. Good starters served promptly and main courses particularly enjoyable, especially fajitas. Plenty of nearby restaurants but this is certainly a good choice

Very disappointed, very expensive for the quality of food. Won't be back and certainly would not recommend to friends. Very disappointed. Service was ok just putty the food didn't match the standard

Excellent steak and great service. Order was taken and delivered with each piece of beef cooked exactly as ordered. Generous portions. Decor is definitely rustic and casual.

Service was great as well as the steak, but the chips were a big let down, tasted like they were fried multiple times before being served. The price was okay for the quality of the steak.

Very good, all three steaks were cooked to perfection, apple pie was to die for. food was great , service was just ok. Restaurant was small and seating was tight. Would recommend and we will go again.

Our first time at Rancho's - great food , great service . Only area for improvement - they didn't have a few things on the menu that we would have liked - although it didn't spoil our evening .

We had excellent steaks at a very good price - you have to add sides etc as steak comes alone on the plate. Basic but pleasant surroundings. Apple pie was really tasty as was the coffee with Kaluha & tequila. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent steaks, good service- despite being busy (major sporting event on at the time). Very reasonable in terms of price. We would be very happy to return again!

We both had wonderful meals even though I had to return my main course (undercooked). Disappointed no dessert menu or coffee offered but we'll return.

Great steak - great service. Visited Edinburgh Rancho's and found them to be extremely polite and helpful. Ordered a Rib-eye steak, which I ordered medium rare. It was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Ordered red wine which was at perfect temperature. Thank you for a lovely evening Rancho's.

The place looks nice, service was efficiant, food was good. Good value for money. I would reccomend going there for a good steak dinner with the lads or family.

Our trip to Rancho was a last minute reservation after being let down by another local restaurant. We phoned Rancho to say we would be slightly late and they they were happy to hold our table. Once there we were served fabulous food by a lovely waiter who couldn't have been more attentive. This was our first trip to Rancho but it will not be our last.

Best steak I've had for a long time. A small but well run establishment.

The meal was lovely - for starters we had tiger grilled prawns which were huge and great flavour and then fillet steaks which were cooked to perfection. The waiter was charming and couldn'have been more helpful. A real find - 2 minutes from Haymarket Station so easy for train or tram.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food was excellent and the waiter was extremely attentive. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to others and will be back soon.

The staff at Rancho were very friendly and helpful. We had the garlic steaks which were cooked perfectly to our order. Well priced as well. Will be booking again when we return to Edinburgh

This place never fails to deliver best steak I've had at an incredible price! Been to many other, far more expensive steak houses and none beat Rancho!

I made a reservation at Rancho during a planned visit to Edinburgh, did however double book and had to change the night which was no problem at all. On arrival we where made to feel very welcome the staff where friendly and could not do enough for us. We both had steaks which where simply to die for, the best we had ever had. Great little place to go and enjoy a meal out. I had been looking forward to going to Rancho for some time and would have to say it far exceeded my expectations.

The food was cooked to perfection and the service was great, nothing was too much trouble. my only concern was the lack of choice on the children's menu! Definately will deserve another visit though 😜

Very good service, the waiter was very attentive. The steak was also cooked to preference and the side orders were delicious. It was a very pleasurable dining experience.

The restaurant was excelent the food and drink was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful and polite would recommend this resturaunt in the future.

First time at Rancho. Excellent meal great steaks!! Highly recommend. Only has seating for 36 but very well laid out and not cramped. Kitchen visible and clean.

Great steak, the service was amazing, very polite. The interior is really nice as well, the only thing I minded a bit was that one of our napkins had some grease marks on it and they were out of ice-cream.

Steaks excellent. Service very good and we did enjoy our meal. However a bit disappointed that the steaks didn't come with any accompiaments so we had to orders fries, salad, onions etc separately. This added c. 10-15 % to our bill so meal for 2 ended up fairly expensive

Took the family for a birthday celebration We went with the Mixed grill for two. Outstanding value for money and excellent quality as well. Those ribs!!! Will definitely be going back.
