Love this restaurant. Food is great and staff are lovely.

Food was ok, basic fare but we were disappointed the menus and wall beside us were dirty. I don't think we are too picky this was quite bad. The staff were great, very attentive and food came quickly. We were going to the theatre and got checked out very quickly which was appreciated

We had a fantastic meal and the service and staff were excellent. Looking forward to our next visit.

The food was very very good but the table beside us - we had lunch - was very loud infact they were obnoxious. We could not hear each other at all . So not the fault of the restaurant just rude diners.

We had a delicious pre theatre dinner here-The Bang Bang Chicken followed by Steakl & Frites. The food was abso;utely delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. The chef/owner came out for a chat too. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back!

Overall the restaurant was cold, I had to keep my jacket on. This impacted negatively on our dining experience. Food as usual was really good.

We visited to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday party. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Staff were excellent without being too overbearing. There were four of us and we all completely cleared our plates...I think that speaks for itself!!!! Would highly recommend!

Voucher from son and daughter in law. Fantastic food. Ist course pate and onion soup, so tasty. Main course, fish cake. Best I have ever tasted. Blade of beef, so tender. Staff were so attentive and helpful. Would definitely come back again

Wonderful food indeed. Flavours and tastes were a joy; all as served with happy and attentive staff. But expensive whisky at £7.50 a measure, when the whisky menu indicated £4.50 !?

Great location The ambiance is delightful. , I highly recommend dining here. The food was delicious ( set menu/ fairly priced for centre of city) and the service was friendly & professional.

On this visit our table was upstairs. The noise level was quite high and we could hear every word of the conversation the diners at the next table were having. I now feel quite well versed in football and the difficulty on obtaining reasonable accommodation in Germany! That said the food was delicious and the service impeccable and we look forward to visiting again but perhaps next time downstairs.

On the mezzanine level , paint work in the booths really needs a touch up looks dirty due to the marks on the wall . Food was very good and hope to revisit in future.

Perfect visit to celebrate mum’s 85th birthday. Plenty parking around on a Saturday afternoon! Lovely welcoming atmosphere and super attention from friendly staff. Lunch was perfect. Can highly recommend the tempura prawns and duck main! Thank you.

Has to be my favourite restaurant. Food is fabulous and the whole ambience is just so relaxing and the staff are awesome. I also love that John makes an appearance to chat with his diners where possible. Just adds that extra touch to the hospitality.

I hadn't been to the Red Onion in quite a few years and had forgotten how good the food was. Staff were very pleasant and offered guidance and recommendations on food and drink.

I have always enjoyed my meals and the atmosphere. Tonight was no exception. One of my favourite restaurants

Personally my food was delicious but my two friends had the steak and were quite unimpressed. Service good and I personally would come back
