The food was incredible. The sea view was nice. But even though I made a reservation, I had to queue. Got to the top of the queue and asked for a table outside for two people. There were three four-seater tables and the staff made us wait further 15 minutes before finally allowing us to take one of them. 15 minutes later they took our order. It took them so long to bring out the food that we thought they forgot about our order. 20 minutes to bring out the tap water. Had to ask for the bill twice. When we put the money on the table, no one bothered to collect it, so had to go to the bar and hand it over. Just as we thought we were done, a waiter ran after us, saying £10 was missing. When back to the restaurant to find the £10 on the floor. Customer service was very very poor.

even if you reserved online you still will wait. Food was average. Nothing to impress and lack of flavours. Orders taken incorrect and our drinks arrived after we finished eating. So bad organised. Bathrooms,better don’t tell you. So not happy at all with the bill and all those “amazing “ reviews about the food or the place

The Regency is a bustling, very busy restaurant. The food is beautiful and the service is friendly and excellent. If you love fish, this is the best restaurant in town.

This restaurant is like a 70’s throwback but with top quality fish at very good prices. Waiters and waitresses are attentive and friendly and the place is always full of both tourists and locals, families and couples, showing its wide ranging appeal. A little gem in a city obsessed with burgers.

A little disappointed. Have bene many times before but this time the fish and chips were mediocre (thin fish and Batter not Fluffy) - garlic prawns were though great.

The Regency is a Brighton institution. Tasty fish and chips on a hot summer's evening overlooking Brighton Seafront-what could be better? Portions were large, service prompt and staff friendly. We booked ahead, as it is a popular venue.

Great place for a meal pre-theatre. Had allowed plent of time but needn't have worried as staff were superb. Order taken quickly. WE were made aware of a large party due to arrive and we order before that. Drinks and food were served promptly. Enjoyed the food which was fresh. All round an enjoyable experience...and we were early for the concert!!

Was my second time at this restaurant and I recommend. It's busy and you have to wait if you don't have a reservation, staff can be a bit moody but nice and the food is great.

Lobster is not as nice as expected but staff service is good

We thought the waiter was alittle rude, just wanted to get us in and out. The king prawns where not properly prepared, ie the intestinal tract was still in place. Will not be going there again.
