Food really tasty and set menu great value for money. Waiter provided top service and enjoyed whole experience. Would recommend a visit and will definitely go back.

Booked Reina based on reviews read on trip advisor and fancied a restaurant that offered a Turkish menu. Reina does this but also a good choice of Italian based dishes which is a good mix if there are any in your party that want something more mainstream with Pizza and Pasta dishes available. We had booked for 7pm and on arrival were pleasantly greeted and swiftly shown to our table. The atmosphere was lively with the restaurant about 1/3rd full. That increased to around 2/3rds full by 7.30pm when two large groups and some additional couples had arrived. Service was prompt and timely with the usual checks on how the meal was going once the food arrived. As with most restaurants, and my pet hate, the only time we were kept waiting longer than we would have liked was to pay the bill at the end. When dessert dishes are taken away it would be nice to be asked if there's anything else we'd like such as another drink or coffee and gives the opportunity to ask for the bill. As it was and this seems to happen in a lot of restaurants it took about 10 minutes to get someone's attention to ask for the bill and a further 10 minutes before it came. As I say it's a pet hate and it happens in most restaurants so not particularly out of the ordinary. The food was delicious. I opted for the Turkish mixed grill which came with salad and rice. Plentiful with meat and served on flat bread. Yummy. Kate went for the Tortellini with Spinach and Ricotta cheese and was also impressed with the taste and quality of the food. We followed this up with dessert where I went for the Baklava and Kate for the profiteroles. Again really lovely. The profiteroles were large and smothered in chocolate. Overall this was a great restaurant where service and food were top notch and great value.

Lovely, tasty food. It arrived quickly for the 9 of us. The dishes were large portions even on the set menu offers. Couldn't fault the dishes. Excellent. Definitely recommend for couples/ large parties.

Highly recommend Reina. Excellent food - freshly prepared. Delicious. Excellent service. We had the Turkish white wine to go with our Turkish food choices and it was also excellent. Unfortunately we were only in York for a short time, but if we ever return, we'll definitely go back to Reina.

Unfortunately all the good comments we had heard about this place did not materialise. Out of 8 meals only 2 were of any quality. The food requested initially wasn't available on a Saturday night ( e.g. No fillet steak) the alternatives requested were of poor standards And the wait was over an hour and a half from a very quiet night in the restaurant. We should have realised that all was not well when it stated no cards cash only! the manager was apologetic and deducted 6 of the 8 meals from the bill but that was little compensation after ruining my wife's birthday night out meal with our friends. Sadly I Would not recommend this restaurant

A lovely evening once again. Super staff, great food and excellent atmosphere. Took elderly parents for first time who enjoyed it all. Will soon be back.

Lovely decor and atmosphere, staff were very welcoming , attentatative and efficient. Our starters and mains were generous ,full of flavour, well presented and fairly priced .Would eat there again , enjoyed every mouthful.

We went here for pre-theatre meal and really enjoyed it. Wide choice of meals and house red wine lovely. Staff friendly and very quick service

Lovely food and fantastic service. Would recommend. We had mixed meze and mixed grill with a few sides. Great for a group wanting to share. Lots of veggie options.

Service, whilst friendly, was slow. Food ok. My steak was fine but husbands rack of lamb very fatty. Had to wait ages between courses to order dessert which then took ages to arrive. Not impressed very much, will not be returning.

Fabulous food and lots of it, lovely restaurant, great guys running the show, hard to beat all round. We'll be back again, you can count on that.

Hi the food and service were both excellent. We had a cold sharing meze to start followed by a lamb pide and a vegetarian stew. The menu had changed slightly with more pizza and pasta dishes and less Turkish dishes which was a shame but food was still very good.

Very good nice surroundings pleasant service.But just a suggestion when serving homous rather than cold French toasted pitta would be better.Otherwise lovely meal worth visiting.

The restaurant was quiet as it was a Monday night but still had great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal and my boyfriend (now fiance) proposed to me! Champagne and baklava to celebrate.

Really lovely restaurant. We were running a little late and rang the restaurant to which they said no problems. Food was of aln excellent quality but online menu differed from restaurant one and although the staff were fantastic and the service was lovely as English was no their first language when I required to change something due to dietary requirements I'm not sure they fully understood me but definitely went out of their way to accommodate me. Drinks were lovely I initially requested a bitter lemon and gim from the menu but was told they no longer stock that. Then requested if there was a cocktail menu. They should probably bting this with the other drinks menus as we both had one... (missing a trick). Overall great food quality all delicious and friendly helpful staff.

The staff were great but the menu had changed since I booked on line and there was very few Turkish dishes. Also little choice for a vegetarian. I was most disappointed.

Lovely restaurant and lovely food excellent from start to finish could not fault the food it was amazing. If visiting York again will definitely return.

The place had a great atmosphere, friendly staff, gorgeous food. Wouldn't change a thing and we will definitely return when we come back to York!

As usual great food in this Turkish restaurant at very reasonable prices, it was very busy so service was a little less attentive than usual, but overall very good.

One of the best meals I've ever had. The food is authentic, delicious and the staff great. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted tradional Turkish cuisine.

Absolutely beautiful meal, the food was devine we will definetely be returning, the service was second to none. The prices were reasonable overall an absolute gem of a find.

Food was good but both the food and restaurant needed to be a bit warmer. Overall the bill was good value and the service attentive and efficient.

We had lunch at the restaurant and the service was excellent with the serving staff being attentive but not overly so. We only had one course but the taste of the food was great, we will certainly be returning but this time in the evening when we can experience a full meal.

ate here on Tuesday before going to the Opera house, all the food very good staff very helpful lovely evening would recomend the mussels with cream have eaten here a few times never been disapointed food alway very good

Excellent. Staff friendly an dchatted with us. Food was lovely and tasted just as it does when we are on holiday in Turkey. Our only slight issue was the Ayran. It was awful and expensive for a very small glass, The drink itself was almost like water with a bit of yoghurt in it. Apart from that the evening there at Reina was really enjoyable from the hot meze through the main course to the dessert. Definitely going back there - but no Ayran lol

Lovely restaurant with good service, used a Groupon deal which got us a glass of wine each and a main each. Both my boyfriend and I enjoyed our food however both agreed we wouldn't of been happy with paying the full price of £13.95 for it had we gone without the deal. Overall great place though .

We had never eaten turkish food before and on a city break we decided to try here as it looked lovely. The food was delicious and the owner of the restaurant very friendly. We had a great time and will visit again when next in York.

We had great service and great food at a decent price. The Baklava was delicious! There were so many nice things on the menu my husband and I had to get different things and share so we could try more!

The whole experience was lovely.. The food was gorgeous, the service was excellent , couldnt have been nicer... Really enjoyable meal , didnt feel rushed in any way .... Just nice... Apparently they havent been open long since the terrible boxing day floods, but that wasnt apparent.... decor was just gorgeous...Recommended Highly.

Lovely restaurant. Not very busy when we arrived but so glad we booked as it soon filled up. Food was lovely and tbe staff were very helpful in recommended dishes and wine. A lovely experience. Will definitely go back when next in York.
