Located inside a Georgian building and boasting stunning views of Lyme Bay, the restaurant at Orestone Manor provides the perfect setting for a special meal out in the Torquay area, situated down Rock House Lane, only a five minute walk away from Maidencombe village. Champions of local Devonshire produce, the menu focuses on modern European cuisine. Begin with some chicken liver parfait served with toasted brioche and onion marmalade or the trio of pan-fried king toray scallops followed by the rump of local lamb with pistachio crust, navet puree, wild garlic, pomme fondant and rosemary jus. Vegetarians will find a comprehensive menu too with meat-free options ranging from wild mushroom tagliatelle to twice-baked cheese souffle, making it an ideal choice for a group celebration. To guarantee a table at the Restaurant at Orestone Manor, booking a table in advance is highly recommended.
Great restaurant and excellent service - they don't fleece you for the wine either. My only concern would be recommending them too highly as I might not be able to get reservations in future!
Great food and service In a special location. Three course table d hotel menu excellent value for money. Quality wine too. Will definitely visit again.
As always excellent service, fantastic cuisine and a real southern ambiance and charm, superb! Don't want to make it too popular otherwise we will never get a booking!
Venue in picturesque location. Full of character with romantic feel to it . We received a very warm welcome . Firstly we had time in the comfortable lounge for pre -dinner drinks and nibbles and to consider our menu choices. Staff were very attentive and efficient . We were delighted with the food and wine we ordered. We ended our evening back in the lounge for coffee which was very relaxing and cosy. We left feeling very satisfied and considered it was good value .
Excellent, great meal and great atmosphere. Service was very friendly and accommodating . Perfect start to Christmas. Highly recommend this hotel's restaurant just hope it doesn't get too busy or we'll never get a reservation!
Yummy. Friendly staff. Very busy time but no waiting around. Very well organised professional staff. Atmospheric surroundings including sea view. Beautiful ladies cloakroom!! We will be visiting again.
Good, very good will go again soon. Parking can be difficult and access from main road isn't easy but well worth the effort. Great staff.
Really lovely setting, good food and nice wine for lunch. Took my elderly mum, who was fussed over and helped. Will go again for sure
