Good food, a large choice of dishes & friendly service. Went on a Saturday night & it was surprisingly quiet. It was good value for money.
Fabulous food and service. Would deffo return in the future.
It seemed very quiet for a Saturday night but the waiters were attentive without being intrusive and the food was good and very reasonably priced indeed. I have only given four stars as even though it wasn’t busy we were not once asked if we wanted more drinks despite there being enough staff there, so they lost money by that and we only ended up having one drink each. I know we could of asked ourselves for more but I really don’t think you should have to. Also I really hate it when people start cleaning up around you before you have finished, especially getting mops and buckets out. Would I go again when in Winchester? Probably........but there are soooooo many other places to try that looked like they were bustling and had a good atmosphere, but i’ll put it down to the fact it was quiet because Eurovision was on.
The meal was delicious hot and plentiful. The staff were attentive and polite. We have eaten here a few times always lovely food. Bill not to expensive either.
Fantastic food, which is why we always return for more.
Great food in a wonderful environment. Stress free dining, wonderful range of choices, including water buffalo. We'll be looking to book again in the near future.
The 4 of us had an excellent evening. The food was great, though there was a touch too much sauce compared with meat in most dishes.
Very good food and good service. The menu had a nice range of different dishes that offered a wide choice alongside the traditional. I would definitely recommend.
Delicious food, I highly recommend the vegetable sharing starter! Nice atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Lovely evening out with friends or a loved one
A lovely Indian restaurant in the heart of Winchester offering a great ambience and service. Good menu variety with options for vegetarians. Big tables for groups.
A very pleasant experience with nice food. Staff friendly and polite. Will go again next time we are in the area. Would recommend goingif you like indian food.
Lovely food and nice staff. Our only thing was that we were cold in the restaurant however it was snowing outside and the restaurant had just opened
Very good food and service. One of our friends is Indian and even he was impressed. We will definitely be making a return visit with more friends.
Very cordial staff and tasty food in a quiet and enjoyable ambience. Will visit again with the large group. Good choice if vegetarian dishes as well.
Restaurant very chilly at 1730 on a Saturday evening but waiter did produce a small electric fire for us. Food good, service friendly, not much atmosphere as few people there. Quite pricey. Good for pre-theatre meal.
The food was excellent and the staff lovely. However it was freezing cold and very noisy which spoiled the experience. Some soft furnishings and a heater would make it better.
I am glad you have asked for feedback on our visit to Rimjhim last night. Of the party of 8, none of us had issues with our food when it eventually arrived. From ordering, it was an hour before we got our food - it was only main courses and rice so not a complex order. It wasn't particularly busy - I noticed that everyone who was dining seemed to be shoved into one corner of the room. Our table was right next to the fire exit door and it was absolutely freezing in there - a draft coming through the door. I had to keep a large scarf around me all evening and the others were cold too. The man who seemed to be in charge was helpful in that he helped us put up a birthday banner (it was a 21st birthday celebration) and he assisted us in bringing out a cake we had bought. However none of the staff seemed very cheerful, in particular the lady who served us who was downright rude. When we got our bill, we checked it and had been charged for two pints of Cobra we did not have. We were all very careful to keep on eye on who had what as we were splitting the bill but when paying, the member of staff actually argued this with my partner. I have not been to Rimjhim for a few years but used to go a lot when I worked in Winchester and I am sad to say it really has gone downhill. Also your website shows a deal of 2 meals for £22 which includes Thursdays however this was not offered to us - we were just given the normal menu. That's not really right. So I am giving the 3 for the food but nothing else.
As always a friendly welcome from all the staff. Weather was cold as were all te party but a heater was made available without asking. food was served with a smile and tasted wonderful.
Good service and very accommodating for a vegetarian diet. Will definitely be returning here again in the future. Food was delicious, warm and tasty. Brilliant
The food was really good. Waitress who took orders needs to learn a bit more about the dishes as she couldn’t help with explaining except to repeat what was already on menu. It would have been better if all main meals had arrived together for a table of 8 instead of few minutes waiting. The young waiters serving food were excellent very polite and helpful. Maitre d was very nice and helpful and happy to move us to a different table when we asked.
Excellent service, amazing food. Couldn’t ask for more. There was a noisy party in when we visited, we were offered a different table without having to ask.
Ok arrival at the Rimjhim's, we found we were not booked in to the restaurant. Luckily they managed to squeeze us in. The food was excellent, though or mains turned up before the starters, shop the service was not up to the standard of the food.
The service is excelent and the food is wonderful flavours. The quantities have slightly reduced... which may be a good thing health wise, but even the portions of rice are less than they used to be.. i would have liked there to have beenmore of the monkfish. overall happy with the experience
I wouldn’t order any wine again but the food is amazing. The service was ok and the overall experience was very good. Planning to dine there again.
This is my regular for a reason. Booked most recently for a family meet up and as per usual the service was fantastic and the food was incredible! Always recommend to others!
Fantastic food, very poor service, brought out papadoms and starters within seconds of one another. Was such a shame as food very good. It was very busy with every table was taken!..
Thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday buffet. Lots of choice, replenished frequently. Staff were welcoming & helpful. Would highly recommend, especially for families as it is a good opportunity to let children try different dishes.
Very good food and impressed with the knowledge of the allergy information by the staff. No running in to the kitchen to check just like most other restaurants. Tasty authentic Indian food and look forward to our next trip.
Haven't been here for a while but was pleasantly surprised when I visited. Good food with some reasonable menus although I did have to ask for the set menus which weren't given out originally.
Food was good. Took long time to get served main meal. Far to noisy for all of us. Couldn`t here our selves talk. Had to shout at each other to make conversation. Big let down. Not to sure if we will go there again due to this. A shame as food was good.
Food was very good for all 6 of us. My steamed seabass was unusual and delicious. Disappointed as we had specifically requested the round table many weeks ago and it had been allocated to a party. We would have like to have known about this before hand. Very polite staff though there was some muddle up about the order - was sorted out without fuss just meant not everything arrived at the same time.
Group of six adults on a Friday night. There was a great atmosphere, good service, lovely food and a reasonably priced bill. Good choice for a curry.
Friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. We booked a table for lunch before attending the theatre around the corner. Couldn’t ask for more in terms of location and menu.
Understaffed, kept making errors like bringing over poppadoms but no chutney, had to ask waiter twice to order more drinks. Pricey - poppadoms for a table of 12 cost us £18, not including the chutneys! Side dishes were tiny portions.
Good food and service. Our first visit and we shall be returning. Very handy for Theatre Royal and close to bus stops and car parking is convenient.
The service was brilliant and the food was delicious! This was my first Indian I've been to and I would Highly recommend it to others.
Good service, with a wide selection of dishes, all cooked and presented in an appetising way. General ambiance in the restaurant was conducive to a very enjoyable evening
Pre-theatre early evening supper - the 'specials' menu had a set meal for 2 for £22, consisting of a choice of two starters to share, then both a chicken dish and lamb dish. The meal was excellent value, and although the choices were limited, the food was delicious.
Bad food.. didnt taste anything like authentic...not even 1 percent...we ordered chivken biryani and instead of salan got a vegetable curry with it...the boryani otef taste like reheated precooked frozen biryani...bad!!
The food wasn't very nice. Neither was the service that good. Wouldn't come here again. Very over priced also, no recommendation from me that's for sure
