We chose this restaurant by Atul Kochhar because we had celebrated our first year of dating at Vaasu in Marlow, which was a lovely experience. This year, to celebrate our first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife, we decided to try another one of his restaurants — Riwaz. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of our expectations from the moment we arrived. There was no concierge at the entrance to greet us, check our reservation, or guide us to a table. Despite a delay in seating, we were not offered a drink while we waited — something we would normally expect at a Michelin-starred restaurant. We waited around 15 minutes before being shown to our table. In our booking, we had clearly requested to order from the à la carte menu, yet a set menu was placed on our table instead, which suggested a lack of attention to detail. I had also left a note mentioning that this was our first Valentine’s together as husband and wife and asked if something special could be arranged. We were told that all guests would receive roses, and we were given two at the end of the meal — nearly wilting and not particularly meaningful, especially as they were given to everyone. The food itself was average and comparable to what you might find at many other Indian restaurants at a much lower price point. We had expected more creativity and unique dishes. The space also felt cramped, and the ambience and decorations were underwhelming; at times, it felt more like a production line than a special dining experience. We had hoped for a better table and a more thoughtful setting. Given the price we paid and the significance of the occasion, we expected a far more memorable and refined experience.

There was delicious food and amazing staff, I would defenetly recamend it to all you food lovers

A Fantastic Dining Experience from Start to Finish! I had an absolutely wonderful lunch at Riwas. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-notch. The atmosphere was lovely—the place is beautifully decorated and had a really nice, inviting vibe. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, providing service that was both efficient and warm. And of course, the food was the real star of the show. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and truly delicious. I can't recommend Riwaz highly enough and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I visited this Indian restaurant for dinner two weekends ago and was absolutely blown away by the food. I enjoyed it so much on my first visit that I came back again the following week — and it was just as wonderful the second time! The food is packed with authentic flavors, the staff are warm and attentive, and the ambiance is cozy and welcoming. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel at home while treating you to an exceptional dining experience. I can confidently say I’ll be a loyal customer for years to come, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine.

Our evening at Riwaz was great, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere in the garden area was relaxed and comfortable. Our meal was excellent, not rushed but no long waits between courses. The various dishes were so tasty. Thank You 😊

fabulous food that was oozing with quality and incredible taste. the waiters were very attentive and friendly.

The food was really delicious and the service was good, but we did think the server could have been a little more attentive other than just bringing our food as I wasn’t asked if I would like a drink after the cocktail, so that was a missed opportunity as we would have had a bottle of wine but we were not asked if we would like another drink, or shown a wine list!

Punjabi chicken and Monk Fish very bland. Sat near the toilet. The whole experience was 30 mins we felt rushed and pushed out. Disappointed as it was a special occasion.
