Decorated with quirky, mismatched decor and handmade art lining the walls, Roastit Bubbly Jocks is a bistro with a neighbourhood feel. Head to Partick’s Roastit Bubbly Jocks for brunch and you could tuck into The Glasgow Fry (bacon, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, grilled tomato, beans, fat tattie scone, free-range eggs and Dingwall haggis), while the main menu boasts a great selection of modern Scottish cuisine, as well as some dishes with French influences.
Start off with the west coast fish chowder, goats cheese souffle or some seared king scallops with Stornoway black pudding and apple puree before moving on to a Scottish classic like the haggis, neeps and tatties or the roast haunch of Argyll venison with red cabbage and sweet potato dauphinoise. Vegetarians will find plenty of choice too, like the filo parcel with roast squash, spinach, feta, red onion and salad. Located in Glasgow’s buzzing West End on Dumbarton Road, Roastit Bubbly Jocks is a popular choice, whether its for brunch or an evening meal. Delicious seasonal food and very friendly staff who were attentive. Very reasonably priced market lunch menu, great value for money! Sadly was too full for dessert as the dessert menu looked great as well!
Food was delicious and there was a huge selection on the menu. Everything my family ordered was good. Generous portions. Friendly staff and surroundings are comfortable with a nice welcoming feel. Would highly recommend.
Excellent seat, Food and service. The restaurant was very welcoming and had an enjoyable and relaxing dining experience. Could not fault it. I would recommend to anyone
This was exactly what we were looking for. An informal restaurant with good quality food and a relaxed atmosphere. There were 8 of us in the party and we were all happy with our meals, our wine, our friendly servers and I'd highly recommend it.
A really enjoyable meal in informal surroundings fronted by very pleasant, welcoming and attentive staff. Our early evening (pre- theatre) booking gave access to fixed price and a la carte menus which could be mixed and matched as desired. The man- sized portions meant that, after a superb starter of West coast seafood chowder followed by an equally tasty venison ragu with pasta there was unfortunately no space for dessert! If you haven't eaten here before, seek RBJ out- I am sure you will not be disappointed.
The restaurant is quite small but lovely - not cramped at all and with great decor. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world. We were on the set Mothers Day menu - lots of choices and all courses fresh and hot and very tasty. Lamb and steak in the steak pie melted and the presentation was great. Highly recommend this restaurant - and plan to visit many times again myself.
Food was lovely. I am not normally a sweet hand but I recommend the Honeycomb and Caramel Sundae. Unfortunately the restaurant was exceptionally noisy due to a table of 12 females sitting behind us. We could hardly hear ourselves speak because of them. Staff were very pleasant. There was a mix up with my potatoes, for which I was not charged. It was a nice touch to give us a drink at the end of our meal too. We would visit again.
From the outside it looks like an ordinary cafe, but scallops were brilliant, best I've had in ages, the roast pork superb, especially the crackling, and such a good whisky collection. All this and ice cream & tablet for dessert at the incredibly low price of £32! The service was quick and friendly too. I'm definitely going back.
MOH and I Book to go for dinner at 6:30 on a Saturday evening along with another couple. Service was efficient, staff were friendly, and food was excellent. We had been before but the other couple had not, they both said they would be returning. I lovely night was had by all.
A friend and I enjoyed a very nice lunch here today. Well prepared food served by very friendly, helpful staff. We would definitely recommend Roastit Bubbly Jocks to friends.
This is my favorite restaurant in Glasgow, thus far. The staff are really nice, and we've become regulars there over the last year. Great place for either brunch or dinner... or both! The Glasgow fry up is the best in the city, I've had.
We enjoyed an anniversary celebration for my grandparents with good food and service. We had a lovely experience and would recommend the salt and peppered squid starter , fish and chips, steak and venison ragu looking forward to going back.
This is great value. It's easy to find something to like on the menu, with about six to choose from. I thought my steak pie didn't quite work, but that's personal taste. My companion was delighted with her beef-based choices, and desserts were fine.
We live nearby and couldn't have made a better choice with us having two kids in tow too. The staff were so chatty, approachable and accommodating. Food was great value for money (£10 for a steak!) and super tasty. Thanks for having us x
I have to say that we were so looking forward to going to RBJ but sadly it does not live up to its billing!! The place itself was not the nicest but putting that aside, the food is mainly what they are allegedly recognised for. Well let me be Frank - it was if a very poor quality and at best was mediocre. So much so that 2 of our party had to return their food as it was not edible. I do not wish to comment any more as it would be negative and therefore I will sum up by saying - we will definitely not be going back.
Good food and drink. Attentive and friendly staff. Bit quiet for a Saturday night. Busy when we arrived but quiet later - if you get in before 18:30 then you can get a cheaper option or, indeed, mix and match from A la Carte.
Great food well presented along with great service and atmosphere on a busy Saturday night. Superb value for money. My favourite West End restaurant. Never had a bad meal there. Would recommend to any and everyone
very good service and friendly waiter. chowder boring and salty. belly pork very yummy with tasty sauce and veg. sticky ginger and walnut pudding fine though lacking in noticeable gingery-ness and walnuts. good booze and coffee. in all a nice lunch, thank you.
Just the place for a special occasion with friendly staff and excellent food as always. Bonus is also that it's not too far from the railway station so you can leave the car at home.
As ever, the food, drinks and staff were top notch! Thanks to the team at Bubbly Jocks for reminding me why we chose to have our wedding meal there. Will be back again soon.
Excellent value. A meal for 4 - 2 courses each + wine and coffees for just over £100. Tasted great and portions big enough that 3 courses would have been too much.
we had a very enjoyable time staff could not be more helpful. the food was wonderful.will be back in the future we had the market menu and this was great value
Great food, never anything left on the plates when they go back to the kitchen. Been for brunch, lunch and in the evening and food and service great every time.
Perfectly pleasant wee place on Dumbarton Road. Food and ambience nice - feels a little like a really nice meal at home. A couple of touches could help raise the game, e.g. Bread before food brought out or something to nibble on with the tea/coffee.
Lovely food, lovely ambience and efficient staff. Been several times now and never been disappointed. Favourite is pork belly with Stornoway black pudding. Took a friend who has never been before and she will also return.
Great food & lovely service as always. Can highly recommend the roast pork & the steak pie. I didn't have dessert but my friends enjoyed the hot banana sponge with toffee sauce. Well worth a visit.
Brilliant - the staff were friendly and informal and bent over backwards for us. Couldn't have been better and we will definitely be back for the next big family meal.
The staff were very friendly and helped to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Ordered dinner from both a la carte and market menu and the food was delicious all round.
Our meal was great as was the service, the squid starter was a particular highlight for me. Will definitely be back again. Can see why such high critical acclaim
We had a lovely meal from the Easter Sunday special menu (which wasn't overpriced as such holiday menus often are). Delicious food, lively atmosphere, and very friendly staff.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I would definetly go again and highly recommend. Had my 4yr old with us and they were great with her too
I had dinner with my little sister and we had two full courses (starter, main, dessert+wine). Appearance, taste, quantity, quality and value. Everything was excellent and really satisfying. Highly recommended.
First time at roastitbubblyjocks. Really enjoyed our meal and found the staff to be friendly and helpful! menu was such a great price couldn't fault the place
Tasty food, good service, relaxed atmosphere. A very pleasant place to have Sunday lunch - brunch menu (lots of ways with eggs) and more substantial fare (Sunday roasts, fish etc) on offer.
Nice surroundings, really tasty food and staff very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our lunch and would recommend it to other people looking for a good meal in the Partick area.
Went with my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. Lovely meal, terrific service, great value, nice spot! Would highly recommend for a nice meal in the west end!
roastit bubbly jocks is a great place ,with nice ambience , friendly staff and good food . good for big groups especially birthday celebrations or gatherings
Great food and Service - Highly recommended. The location and cleanliness of the place is also great - Can't wait to come back for another visit.
Food was delicious and staff attentive and friendly. The market menu was very reasonable value and great selection of Scottish produce on the A la carte
We received vouchers as a wedding present and it was a perfect treat. Despite it being a busy Saturday night we were treated like royalty.
Been here a number of times for dinner now. Every visit fantastic. The food is superb and service always friendly. Wife's steak cooked perfectly too.
The food was Excellent, the service was excellent, the restaurant is very family friendly and at a very good price. I would definitely recommend RBJ
I liked it a lot. Nice food. Value for money. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah etc etc etc etc etc
Good food served by friendly staff who are justifiably proud of what is coming out of the kitchen. A casual environment perfect for meeting up with family and friends.
Good service and great atmosphere. Couple of the starters bit on the burnt side and one of the steaks not cooked as requested. However did not spoil our experience.
We had a lovely leisurely lunch, staff very attentive, good value and wine choice good. The new menu is good and the spanish stew special a hit.
Great food and great service. Friendly staff. I visited with a group of 10 and our food was all lovely and everyones came at the same time.
This was a lovely cosy and welcoming restaurant with a very pleasant waiter. The food was delicious and very fairly priced. The service was great .
Wonderful food and drinks, attentive staff what more is there? !!!!!!!!! We had a great Sunday lunch and enjoyed it very much. We will be back.
Food was delicious and good service. Great value for money on the market menu with ample portion sizes. We'll be back in the near future
