I was unimpressed they didn’t take credit cards given that they had a sign on the door saying they did. Food and service were fine though.

Tasty Turkish food, cooked to order, so you may have a little wait. However, it is worth it. Friendly service, fresh food, what more do you need?

A small restaurant that is big on flavour. The owner is lovely and when you see local Turkish families eating there, you know you're in for a treat and they did not disappoint. The restaurant is a stone's throw from the Edinburgh International conference centre (EICC). If you are going to an event there then Rodi Restaurant is a must.

The service was good and the food was excellent with a good range of starters and main courses. It wasn't very busy when we were there, despite the Fringe being in full swing, which was a pity - the restaurant deserves to be busier.

The owner was very friendly and recommend dishes off the menu for us. Even though the restaurant was busy our drinks came quickly followed shortly by the starters. This is not a fast food restaurant is somewhere where the food is cooked fresh and sometime that takes more than 5 mins (and appeared to upset some customers). The food was great and worth the wait - fantastic evening.

Excellent food and service, a minute of two's walk from the EICC. Most of the other customers were Turkish, so authentic too. Would definitely eat there again.

Great authentic Turkish food in a nice dinig area with a very friendly manager. I tried a sample of all the meats and I think the spiced lamb was the best.

A great choice for an early Satturday lunch. Good range of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Only ordered main courses but was given fresh pitta bread and homemade dips to start. We enjoyed our visit - only our second date!

Food was good but service was overly fast, very keen to get us food and get us out to get next table in. No offer of more drinks. Main courses served before starters were cleared. Wasn’t a lovely welcoming experience that would truly take you back to turkey.

The food was delicious and the meat beautifully cooked but we had the banquet and it felt a bit over priced - the starter just consisted of 4 dips.

Service was amazing, staff couldn't have been more welcoming. The food was just great, so tasty and well presented. I was surprised by how reasonably priced the menu was given how central the restaurant it, I would have expected to pay more.

Fantastic restaurant! The food and service were outstanding. We had halloumi and liver to start, then a mixed grill and tavuk sis for main courses. Everything was cooked perfectly and quality of the meat excellent. Staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back!

Excellent Turkish-mediterranean food. Rapid and friendly service. Situated in the proximity of Edinburgh's city centre. Strongly recommend the charcoal grilled lamb ribs and the falafel.

The positive reviews about the food are correct. We chose to be there on the Thursday night prior to Christmas so there were noisy groups so not the best time to think about ambiance. The staff were concerned greatly for tables with smaller numbers and apologised for the noise but it was not their fault and I was pleased that they cared. Service was still smooth and quick, food was still good and I have no doubt that my return visit will be a lot less noisy. Please don't let the above comments put anyone off visiting. This is more than just a meze - type restaurant and the food was tasty, delicious and I thought, good value for money!

Visited here for first time recently. It was excellent from the minute we stepped in until we left. We were greeted by Ali and he was excellent. Extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was very good. So tasty. We will definitely return next time we are in Edinburgh. Slightly off beaten but only a few minutes from Usher Hall.

Really enjoyed the aubergine starter and others had humus and calamari. The halloumi was good too. Our mains were good - lamb and mixed meat. The only criticism is perhaps that many of the dishes are over tomatoed and the tomato sauce drowns out the taste of the meat. Would recommend though.

Having already booked online and confirmed the reservation by telephone we were surprised to get to the restaurant and not have a table waiting for us. We had to stand by the door of the small restaurant for ten minutes waiting for a party to leave before we were seated. Our starters took fifty minutes to come out, followed by the mains which took a further half an hour. Three out of four of us were served, while we were still waiting for the final main to be plated up. The final dish was served with no sides with the waiter informing us "we've had a busy night so we've run out of rice. Will chips be okay for you?" Why weren't we told this before we ordered? Or before the dishes were even served? This also explained by the side of rice on three of our dishes was so small. Very poor service by what can only be described as a one man show. Very disappointing as the food we did manage to eat seemed okay. Our final bill wasn't even reduced despite us not receiving what we had ordered. Really quite surprised that this restaurant is rated so highly online.

Food very good but service was not up to scratch. The one waiter who was working was very good but he had to cover all the tables and it was just too much, however we will go back again.

Chicken and lamb were okay. The lamb skewer was slightly overlooked. Poor quality hummus. Service was a bit slow. Don't order calamari as it is frozen and it could pass for an onion ring! When I ordered more bread, suspiciously there were pieces of chicken stuff underneath making it appear that this bread was taken off another persons plate. Not very authentic food and not good value for money at all.

Superb service from all the staff and fabulous food will definitely be visiting again soon. Situated on a corner it's quite possible to pass without a second glance but it's advisable to book in advance just in case it's busy as it's well worth it cost is average not cheap but not expensive.

This is not fine dining but having said that the food was excellent and great value for money. The staff were very friendly and service efficient. We were going to an event later at the Usher Hall and I would recommend Rodi to anyone wanting to have quick tasty meal before going on there.
