Just a wonderful experience from start to finish. Maddy our server was exceptional! He was attentive, helpful and the perfect host. Service like his makes all the difference. All the staff were very friendly and made the effort to greet us and say goodbye. The food was fantastic, hot and delicious. I live less than 5 minutes from Root Spice and this was my first visit. What a find.

We were very late but they still held the table for us. V polite & food was great. Also provided a "doggy bag"

It was a very busy Saturday night with both the Christmas Market and Bath Rugby at home that night. The restaurant was very full. Even so, the food was absolutely delicious, as always, and Chef was very careful to take care of my allergies. The staff were all attentive and service was good. Rahjive had the whole restaurant running like clockwork. Amazing!

We recently went to this place for my birthday with 5 other friends. My friends and I love Indian food and have been to almost all Indian restaurants in Bath. This being a new Indian place with really good online reviews we thought we would try it for my birthday. We were massively disappointed. The food was terrible. Half of us left our dishes only after eating a few bits. There used to be another Indian restaurant here called "Tulsi Tandoori" which offered British Indian food. The new owners have not even bothered to change much of the decor from the previous (really grubby ladies' Bathroom which has an old fish tank without any fish in it). We were served really oliy popadoms which were broken into small pieces (probably end of the batch.) Most of the dishes lacked flavour. We got red wine and white wine. The white wine felt off although we were not sure so we didn't say anything. This is one of the most expensive Indian food places in Bath however their food is terrible. One of the worst Indians in Bath. I usually don't leave bad reviews like this but we felt cheated as the place is advertised as a posh Indian. They certainly charge the posh prices but the quality is bad! Most of the reviews online seem to be bought as they show dishes that are not offered on the menu. I do not recommend this place.

Very warm welcome and sat In favourite seat by window looking out to the weir fantastic. The staff very attentive and helpful. A pleasure to visit and will do again soon.

The service was appalling! They lost our order and so it took 90 minutes to get any food. The waiter never bothered to come to our table to ask if we wanted more drinks, coffee, pudding etc. We had to go to the bar to get our bill as they forgot to get that for us - even though we had asked! Food when it came was lovely but the experience had ruined that

A fantastic first meal at Root Spice - I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who hit quality Indian food...it was all delicious.

Excellent value for lucheon, served with courtesy and a smile ! I have recommended it to a group of gentlemen who will visit in October for Luncheon 5 in all. I know they will enjoy the experience.
