Saffron

Another excellent meal at Saffron in Oldbury. Friendly service in a warm environment, all dishes were cooked perfectly and great value. We always make a point of visiting Saffron when staying in the area.

This place is really good the food was great, service was great, really attentive and not too badly priced. Will definitely be going again soon.

It was a nice small restaurant. Service was okay but could have been more efficient. Food was average but the medium was very mild. I hadn't seen my friend for ages so had wanted to catch up. We had our dessert and tea and then were chatting. The waiters continuously hovered around asking if we needed anything else. We said no and then after a third time the waiter said our table was reserved for a couple. Yet over half the restaurant was empty. I found this quite insulting. We would have left in our own time. Would I go back...I doubt it.

Nice surroundings and friendly staff. Starters were good and a reasonable portion size. Main courses offered a good choice and staff were happy to explain dishes when required. Unfortunately poppadum's were a little soft. However, chutney's, onion salad and sauces were excellent. Overall the meal was very nice.

They seemed confused when we arrived and had no table for us in the main restaurant so asked if we wouldn't mind sitting in a side room, to which we agreed as it was then too late to get in anywhere else. The side room was cold and quite dingy an the service wasn't as good as it was in the main restaurant. Having said that, the food was delicious.
