Sakura Japanese Bar & Restaurant – you may struggle to find a more beautiful place to sit anywhere in London. Imagine oriental-style low lighting and dark wooden tables dotted around a delicate pink blossom tree in the centre of the space. Now imagine that tree caressing the ceiling while subtle fairy lights weave through its branches – Sakura feels almost enchanted, and you feel as though you’re dining under the stars. On the menu you’ll find Japanese and Korean fusion that is, of course, worthy of such a setting. The focus is on lots of little plates to encourage sharing (as is the traditional Asian way), with a strong showing from fresh sushi and sashimi as well as an array of Sakura specials. To be found on New Malden’s High Street, trust us when we say, this is not one to be missed.
Came here for a birthday lunch with work colleagues. Can get busy at lunch, so if you're on a tight timescale, make sure you order quickly. Really nice decor, which could be described as cosy, cute, instagramable. Service was prompt and attentive. Food was lovely with decent portions.
Charming restaurant, great food and excellent service. Love it! I am so pleased to find this restaurant and it is indeed bringing Japan to Surrey. Will be coming back again!
The foods was excellent, also the service. But the table when we first sat down was a bit small so we had to change to a bigger one afterward because my girlfriend and I are both had a big appetiser. My girlfriend kept taking picture of the restaurant as its so nice and beautiful. It would be better if they play their own music rather than Bruno ma and Justine bieber. In general, we had a nice eating out evening, and we wish they has a restaurant near us as we had drive nearly 2 hours to get there. Thank you and keep up the good work partner.
