Sakura Japanese Bar & Restaurant – you may struggle to find a more beautiful place to sit anywhere in London. Imagine oriental-style low lighting and dark wooden tables dotted around a delicate pink blossom tree in the centre of the space. Now imagine that tree caressing the ceiling while subtle fairy lights weave through its branches – Sakura feels almost enchanted, and you feel as though you’re dining under the stars. On the menu you’ll find Japanese and Korean fusion that is, of course, worthy of such a setting. The focus is on lots of little plates to encourage sharing (as is the traditional Asian way), with a strong showing from fresh sushi and sashimi as well as an array of Sakura specials. To be found on New Malden’s High Street, trust us when we say, this is not one to be missed.
A Nice relaxed atmosphere food good Varied menu. Reasonably priced Didn’t have to wait too long for food. Service was good. Would recommend to others
Lovely place, great food. Service a little slow at times but nice people. Food came quickly getting the attention of the staff was a slight issue but fine. A woman let her child run around the restaurant which was quite disturbing to us, it would've been appreciated if the staff had a word.
The restaurant itself is very nice, love the cherry blossom tree with fairy lights and the staff were polite and service was quick but the sushi menu was a little disappointing as most of the options were filled with crab stick.
