The restaurant is clean and peaceful. We had a dish of salted fish, chick and beancurd, but here are not enough salted fish in it. ( I only had one piece of salted fish, but too many chicken). The price of the dishes are too high!.

The food here is brilliant, a much higher standard than your usual Chinese. The pork dumplings and salt and pepper squid as a starter are incredibly fresh and the Mao’s style pork as a main was absolutely delicious; tender as you like and full of flavour. It’s not the cheapest place around, and could do with a bit of a facelift but look beyond this and you won’t be disappointed.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff. It’s slightly different Chinese’s than probably used to with some interesting dishes such as pig intestines. I ordered crispy chilli chicken, which was basically a plate of cooked chillis with some chicken in it. I like spice but this was a bit much. If you like to experiment with different food then this is a place for you, if you want just a regular Chinese like a take away, maybe not for you. That was our error though by not understanding the type of place it was.

6 stars for flavour & service, but 2 dishes were only lukewarm so one star subtracted. Will definitely go again

The food is good but the price of the dishes are a bit too expensive. Not sure I will return as it’s not that good to pay those prices.

We previously lived in Hong Kong and China. The food at the Sanxia restaurant was very good and certainly comparable with what we had become used when in Asia. The staff were very welcoming and made it a really lovely evening.
