What a gem. The atmosphere is fab for a small restaurant. Decor is authentic Bangladeshi and has a story, we were lucky enough to get the low down on this story. Food is equally impressive. Staff are incredibly attentive and the owner is so personable, it’s such a breath of fresh air to take the time to approach and want to really get to know her customers. My second time here and will most certainly be returning. We have also ordered takeaway before, food came hot and just as tasty as having it served straight from the kitchen.

We were a large party of 18 and we're made so welcome. Excellent food and service. Highly recommended.

We’ve had lots of amazing takeaways but tonight we ate in the restaurant for the first time. It’s beautiful! Service and food was immaculate. How wonderful to hear the story behind Shapla and meet the lovely owner too. What a treat to have a few metres from our front door!

This was our first time eating here and definitely won’t be the last. It’s clean and welcoming and the staff so friendly and accommodating. Absolutely delicious meal with friends at Shapla. We didn't realise it was BYOB but we popped next door to the offy for supplies and saved some money so it was fantastic!

Love the restaurant, love the food and the staff, just find the noise levels get very loud if busy and it’s a struggle to hear people above the noise at times.

Excellent welcome and service throughout the meal. Delicious cuisine with a large choice of different meals to suit all tastes. A lovely evening out. So good to have a restaurant of such quality in our village. I shall visit again to taste another meal next time.

Needed an early quick meal before going off to Brighton for a show. The Shapla couldn’t have been more helpful they were aware of our time scale and made sure our meal was cooked right away. The atmosphere was lovely and the food well above the average Indian restaurant. The menu is excellent and I now need to work my way through it

Had a lovely meal with friends on a Friday night. The food was fabulous and the portions were a good size. The only downside was that the restaurant was quite noisy and it was difficult at times to hear the conversation on our table. This improved when the restaurant became less busy.

First meal at Shapla, waiter was great, food really tasty, delicious, fantastic curry. Loved new decor! Only downside, table in centre by door, couldn’t really hear our conversation and my goodness anyone would know we had been for a curry, our clothes phew!!

It’s was very very noisy and tables felt too close together . Some Indian music would have added some atmosphere. Too loud for me to return on a Saturday again but mid week will probably be great . Food was excellent though .
