Shapla

Needed an early quick meal before going off to Brighton for a show. The Shapla couldn’t have been more helpful they were aware of our time scale and made sure our meal was cooked right away. The atmosphere was lovely and the food well above the average Indian restaurant. The menu is excellent and I now need to work my way through it

Had a lovely meal with friends on a Friday night. The food was fabulous and the portions were a good size. The only downside was that the restaurant was quite noisy and it was difficult at times to hear the conversation on our table. This improved when the restaurant became less busy.

First meal at Shapla, waiter was great, food really tasty, delicious, fantastic curry. Loved new decor! Only downside, table in centre by door, couldn’t really hear our conversation and my goodness anyone would know we had been for a curry, our clothes phew!!

It’s was very very noisy and tables felt too close together . Some Indian music would have added some atmosphere. Too loud for me to return on a Saturday again but mid week will probably be great . Food was excellent though .

This was the second visit my partner and I made,with two people new to The Shapla experience,having previously been introduced by other friends.On each occasion,the service,food and atmosphere were very conducive to a great foodie night out.Saida and her staff are friendly,polite, and efficient.We shall return!!

The food was really delicious- definitely among the best Indian meals we have had. Service was quick and friendly. Only negative we had was that our clothes and hair smelled strongly afterwards so worth getting a stronger extractor fan in the kitchen.

As always, the food was excellent and generous portions. The owner makes great efforts to speak to all the diners and welcome them to her restaurant.
