Very good meal, but we had food left over and asked for a doggie bag. We got containers and bag dumped on the table. We had to put the remaining food in the containers ourselves. I have never had that before. Normally the server takes the food and puts it into the containers for you. Also the containers were put on our remaining food. A contamination question now remains. So very poor customer service. We've now had to throw the contents of the doggie bag away. Plus they didn't even provide a bag to take it home. Very poor.

Loved our first visit. Friendly welcome, great service and delicious food. The new decor rates a much brighter and fresher ambience.

Remains consistently high in terms of both food quality and service. What I would say to potential newcomers is that pre booking is pretty essential.Its fantastic but small.

First time at Shapla and really enjoyed it. Very good food and excellent service. Some of the other customers were a bit loud but not Shapla’s fault. Will certainly visit again.

The food was really very good. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was great, everyone there was enjoying the experience. Syeda made sure that she spoke to everyone and was very attentive and so friendly. The only small negative is that it is very noisy, but that is because people are having a good time.

Food was excellent. Waiter's excellent and friendly. Owner is so lovely always has time for a chat with fabulous humour.

My 64 birthday. As always a wonderful meal. Now retired, I was in the catering business for 27 years. Tuesday after a bank holiday was always really quiet. Not here. The restaurant was absolutely packed. Which in itself speaks volumes

The food was brilliant, but it was a noisy tonight. Will definitely return regularly and also enjoy ourselves with each new dish.

As always brilliant meet, great and seat on arrival. Smiles from the Shapla team are genuine and welcoming. Food for the four of us was good as always, hot, tasty and good portions. Shame that two customers were vaping at their tables with no concern for other diners but Shapla team were aware and reacted accordingly. BYOB make a meal out more affordable if only all restaurants did this as it makes the overall price ideal for

Wonderful restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing. Very tasty. The best we have had out. We have shared this with friends as it is a special place to go especially if you have a birthday celebration. 🥰🎉

Our visit to Shapla was very enjoyable. Food, service, decor and cleanliness was exceptional. Only downside is the noise level when busy becomes a little uncomfortable and conversation is difficult.

At 6pm the restaurant was already almost full! Despite this, we were served promptly and there was no wait for our meal. The menu is interesting and different from a lot of Indian restaurants; the food was delicious (as on our previous visit). The staff are lovely. It was a little noisy but then it was a busy Saturday night. They deserve to do well.

Beautifully decorated. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Would be good to have the pancake with the prawn puri/chicken chat and a bigger portion of rice for the price! Lovely meal though.
