Shapla is a beautifully decorated local restaurant serving a wide range of Indian dishes and accompaniments. This is our 3rd visit since it opened and each time the food has been excellent as has been the service. The restaurant is small and the tables are well laid. Shapla is not licensed to sell alcohol, so you are able to bring your own and they provide the glasses with no extra charges. Shapla is now a local favourite, well done.

Very pretty little restaurant. The food was very tasty and the staff were lovely. The place was packed but service was still prompt. It was a little noisy but to be expected when the place was full.

The welcome, the atmosphere, the service, the presentation of the food and taste were all exceptional. We were unlucky we picked a busy night and the noise of everyone enjoying themselves was a bit too much.

It was my husband’s birthday, I provided the cake but they sorted it. There was cake left and they put it in a box so I could take the rest home. Nothing was too much bother either.

Lovely meal. A little too much food colouring and very noisy but we will return.

The quality and flavour of the food is excellent, and the staff are professional and friendly. Lovely ambiance and great evening.

Wir waren in Familie hier zum Abendessen. Sehr schön eingerichtetes kleines feines indisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliche Bedienung, hat jeder unserer Fragen nett und höflich beantwortet. Das Essen war unglaublich gut. Das beste indische Essen, was ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Faires Preisleistungsverhältnis. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Very good food, restaurant was a bit small but nice decor

Lovely food lovely staff cannot fault either. One observation…. I know it was busy - a Friday night - but it is so loud in the restaurant. Any possibility of some insulation on the walls or ceiling?

Absolutely love it. Had my daughter’s 21st dinner with family here. Only downside, I knew it was a limited time and understood but, had we been served at least 15 minutes earlier as that was the time we waited to be served, there would not have been a lap over in change over.

We celebrated my daughter’s 21st. Food was amazing and staff very attentive. We couldn’t get a booking til 9.30 pm as this place is getting very popular - a hidden gem so book in advance. Bringing your own alcohol also keeps cost down and no corkage charge

People reading my reviews may think “stuck record” but if anything that’s would be very true about this place in terms of consistent high levels of food quality, quantity back up by great and consistent service

My partner and I visited Shapla this evening and everything we had, from the starter to the mains was absolutely spot on. Could not fault a single thing. Amazing value. Brilliant portions and will definitely be returning!

Lovely meal and the service was very good. The only thing that made our evening less enjoyable was the noise, it is very difficult to hear each other with the noise from other diners. Having said that I would still return as the food is excellent and it is such good value.

We were outside in the fresh air. It was noisy inside and a lovely evening. Staff very good. Prices good. Good very good. Maybe the Shaslik was slightly overdone but it was delicious.

Lovely food, good service and nice decor but so noisy we couldn’t hear ourselves speak! We couldn’t communicate without shouting to be heard! Such a shame. Tables were very close together too.
