Service was great. Mithul is a great server and super nice and funny. Food was great.
We booked Sheba two months in advance to meet a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. We both love curry and regularly eat at curry houses all over the UK, from Leeds and Bradford to London and beyond, so we know what good food looks and tastes like. Unfortunately, this was nowhere near it. The naan breads were shockingly small, around five inches in diameter and perfectly circular. They looked more like mini supermarket flatbreads than proper restaurant naan. For mains, we ordered a garlic chilli chicken and a lamb naga. These are two completely different styles of curry and should taste very distinct. Instead, both sauces tasted almost identical. Same base, same flavour profile, just different meat dropped in. The meat in both dishes was cut into tiny pieces and did not taste great quality. Starters were around £10 each. We had lamb chops and half a chicken. When they arrived, they were served on tiny little four or five inch plates that genuinely looked like IKEA side plates. The half chicken was basically one chicken leg with zero tandoori flavour, just plain chicken with a bit of salad on the side. We had specifically asked for lots of chopped green chillies. Instead, the kitchen sent out about five whole green chillies, unchopped. What exactly are you meant to do with whole chillies on top of a plain chicken leg? The lamb chops were dry and looked like they had been sitting around for a while. They were passable, but nothing special and certainly not worth the price. To be fair, the pints of Kingfisher were good. Fresh, cold, clean taps and reasonably priced. Drinks were the only positive. The total bill was over £100. We paid in full, including service charge, and did not send anything back because we were hungry, but it was a huge let down, especially given the booking and the occasion. If you are heading to Brick Lane, I would strongly recommend Bengal Village instead. Sheba was a massive disappointment and I would not return.
Great food. Bit tight in space but staff were very pleasant
We had a very enjoyable meal at Sheba. We ordered 4 dishes which ended up being way too much food. It was all delicious. The Bengal pumpkin dish was especially tasty. Naan breads are huge so maybe order only 1 if you're two people. Cobra beer paired extremely well with the food offerings.
I've been dining at the Sheba since 1983...always making a visit when returning to London from my overseas homes. It never disappoints! This visit was to celebrate my son's birthday with his mates, another generation of Sheba fans!
Quandoo is closing down. This is a planned, phased process and our platform remains available until 30 September 2026.
Over two hours and no food was served , terrible service.
Not as good as we expected, arrived on time, sent back outside - noisy and the food was honestly pretty average
Thank you! Great food and great service :) will come again
Had to go next door after waiting for 45 mins so not great.
No complaints great food; staff helpful; toilets a bit messy
Best food & service Absolutley loved it & can’t wait to go back ☺️
Amazing variety and quality! From mild to hot, Great chicen for everyone. Friendly Service. Great place! Have to come back next week! :-))
Perfect, great service and food and good value, even tho there was 20 of us they gave good attention to each person
Beautiful food. I got the butter chicken and my partner got the lamb bhuna and both were delish!
A packed restaurant so glad we had booked a table. Staff were so helpful and consideration.Good food at excellent prices .
The food was just ok. Needed more flavor. Host smoking cigs that blew inside the whole dinner. Didn’t even eat at Sheba. Checked in there and host walked us to a totally different restaurant.
They have a great menu, however I tend to order pretty much the same dishes as I have my Indian favourites. This is top quality and compares very favourably with other restaurants that I visit.
The food was good, very delicious our favorite Indian in Brick Lane. The restaurant was very noisy because of a large drunk party but what can you do, people need some joy in their lives.
We had great time and the food and drinks were excellent
Had a great night, really tasty food, generous portions, good value
Food, service and menu was good. Venue is OK but the toilets and downstairs area needed cleaning.
Everything was lovely! Friendly staff great food 😋. Very attentive to customer needs. 10/10
Booked a table but still had to wait 40 mins in a queue before being seated. They need to sort it out
Enjoyed a lovely dinner at sheba. lamb Rogon Josh and Hydrabadi Chicken were outstanding. Service was very good. Cobra beer was supremely cold and refreshing. Fantastic location in Brick Lane area.
Great food and service Good location on brick lane - 🍺
Sehr gute indisches Restaurant. Sehr lecker gegessen. Klare Empfehlung für einen Besuch.
The food was very good, but when we arrived we were sat at a table and told by the waiter that he might have to move us. We placed our order, starting with poppadoms. While eating these, we were told that we would have to move as a large party was coming in. The waiters then hovered while we finished our poppadoms, making us feel rushed. When we moved tables we had to carry our coats, bag and drinks. The other issue we had was the noise. We could hardly hear each other speak. They had crammed as many people in as possible and there was a queue outside. I had booked the table for my husband’s birthday as the reviews for the restaurant were very good, but it felt more like a fast food place where all the staff were interested in was getting as many customers in and out as quickly as possible. Not really what I was hoping for.
Booked online. Got to the door and said they have no tables and *claim* that it’s a third party service that take the bookings and not them. How about not being on there?
No table even though we had booked. Other people who had also booked were waiting for 1 hour +
Lovely restaurant, great food, great location. Average service, quite expensive.
Service was friendly and helpful, however, unfortunately the food has let it down, not worth the price.
Attentive and helpful service. Meat dished were average. Veg-based dishes were excellent. Amazing mushroom korma
food was tasteless, tiny amount of rice for a ridiculous price.
Excellent food and service it's the second time we have been and will certainly be back
Fantastic food would highly recommend a visit. Will be back
Great food! Lovel service, good drinks. What else? Highly recommended
overpriced un-authentic food! Tourist trap! Would not go again keep away!
Great reception and excellent food. Staff really helpful. Absolutely packed and people queuing for a table so def book.
Very nice place. I have already eaten better indian food but this was quite goof
Food was really nice, but we were hurried out which is never nice.
Delicious food and good service. Not our first visit and will not be our last
They don't respect pre-orders for tables. Youll end up in the back of the queue. Fuck them.
The food is nice (average) and I’m not really sure what the hype is about
Very busy which is good. Popadoms and starters cam early. Waited ages for mains. When they did come the curry was not hot - could see it had been ready for ages just not served up. Maybe spend more time getting food out and not cramming more people in. Disappointing as it’s my favourite place for food in London.
Excellent food, good service. Prices were fairly high, but nothing unusual for that area tbh, although the service charge bumped up the total, which is very irritating. That is my only gripe.
Great authentic indian food, will definitely visit again. Meat, fish and veggie options
The meals, especially the vegetarian were not tasty. The starter mixed vegetarian was a tiny portion with just three pieces, the dal soup overpriced with 10.50 £. We were very disappointed about the quality and expected far more from the highly rated curry house.
A very enjoyable meal. Good service and a nice place to have dinner
Nice food generally. Decor a bit dated. Staff efficient. A decent meal overall
