Excellent service, delicious food. We all enjoyed the visit and will of course do it again.

The staff are friendly and accomodating and the food is delicious. The decor is a bit outdated but the prices more than compensate for this.

Very good food, good service, and a nice ambience :-) Good selection of drinks, too. Group of 5 and all served together in good time. We will be back.

The Shiraz was closed and there was a note on the door directing us across the road to another place owned by the same people. I forget what it's called but is the old Rupali restaurant which used to be nice years ago. We were the only three in the place which should have told us something. the lady who served us was friendly enough but the place is a bit dire and the food not much better I'm afraid. We were on our way to a concert and didn't have time to look around . . . shame really as there was a McDonalds round the corner!! My son complained of feeling ill later in the night but thankfully nothing become of it so maybe it was just a freak illness.

I guess they aren't used to serving anyone sober before 11pm ;-) So going at 6pm before the match we were on our own with no one else in The restaurant itself is a little raggy at the edges but the food.... Pure belter and at the right price.

Shiraz Indian Cuisine does exactly what it says on the tin - family run business - good prices , great food and menu choices , fast service in pleasant surroundings ... will be back for sure ...

The Shiraz Restaurant was closed when we arrived and a notice on the door referring us over the road to the Taj. The food there was mediocre and the 'add-ons' made it an expensive meal for what it was. Would never go back.

Great food and really friendly service. Good selection of vegetarian options. Fantastic value for money on the Groupon deal. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely meal.

The Shiraz was closed the day we wanted to visit, so we were invited to the sister restaurant opposite. Really friendly welcome, nice ambiance, quite different from your average Indian, much more modern. Really good menu with the Brindian classics, but then some dishes we had never tried: Goan fish curry and a great choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Generous portions, attentive but not overbearing service. Really good quality cooking, that makes you wonder whether the few critical reviewers on TripAdvisor confused this restaurant for another!

The food was excellent and as the restaurant was fairly quiet, the service was prompt with just the right amount of time between courses. The staff were very friendly & helpful

The food here is excellent and the service is really brilliant too. Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. My only criticism would be that the ladies room is quite grotty and run down. Otherwise, a great place to spend an evening!

Unfortunately Shiraz wasn't open, I wasn't informed of this, so this rating goes to the restaurant we were sent to instead names 'Taj'. Brilliant service, brilliant food.

booked through Groupon deal, meal very nice. Would definatley try again , but only go to Newcastle for meals once a year for meet up with school pals.

Had a really excellent meal. I had the marinated pork chops for starters. For mains I had a chicken dupiaza curry and shared a tarka dhal, garlic nan and nut rice with a fellow diner. It was all nice but the tarka dhal was especially delicious.

Service good but food was not spicy enough for us.

Me and my girlfriend went there for the first time thanks to a Groupon voucher. The location is ideal, the food is good and the prices are normal. I would recommend it.

Ate here after going to the theatre. Chicken Jalfrazi was excellent, and the service was prompt and Findlay This might have been helped have by the fact that we were the only customers, on a random murky Tuesday evening. I can imagine it gets a lot busier in the weekend.

Staff were very friendly, food was gorgeous very good value for money. Would certainly go again. Drinks were a little expensive but because the meal was so cheap I couldn't complain.
