Loved our trip to the Smoke Stop. Absolutely fantastic food!

was a really nice meal here and would recommend, the service was brilliant, the table they put us on was really small though but would go again.

It was ok. Food was great, but drinks weren’t fizzy and syrup gone in all of them which ruined it

Visited on a Thursday lunchtime so quite quiet. Really good welcome and fast service. Food was great. Traveled lots of USA and this was as good as it gets for not actually being there.

First visit for me and my wife, we traveled from Telford and it was worth it, the only downside was the deserts could of had more choice like a chocolate fudge cake with ice cream or custard but overall excellent and yes we will be coming back

Food was good abit over priced and having eaten many times across USA, I wouldn’t actually say it is authentic, but I can see the thought behind it and the effort. However what really really let the whole thing down was the staff, had we of experienced better service and abit of heating we probably would be giving a much much higher rating. Staff were Stood round chatting to each other yet no chat to the customers other than the obligatory table checks, also I have no objections To staff talking to each other but Jesus interact with the customer the one who is A) paying your wages ultimately and B) May even leave you a tip! Some were on their phones behind the bar in between serving customers which just makes it look really like they can’t be bothered to be there! I actually don’t think any one of them even smiled at us throughout our experience which is pretty appalling really, a smile costs nothing, and if you are trying to replicate or advertise an American experience then a smile and chat is in plentiful supply in the USA! Also please put the heating on. The building was freezing, we and the 2 tables next to us sat with our coats on because it was so cold. Also when the restaurant isn’t busy like today I don’t understand the need to sit tables on top if each other?! (That’s just a pet hate of mine actually!) and please invest in Heinz tomato ketchup (please don’t try and kid me that it’s the real stuff, you are obviously going to a lot of effort with the standards of food so why cheapen it with crap sauce? But again that’s just another pet hate of mine and is me being abit picky!) If staff were trained properly in customer service skills and improved the overall experience and ambiance of the place we would definitely return as the food was good. Just so disappointed by the staff attitudes and to find other reviews of others experiences were similar with issues about staff says it all really. I hope you take this a constructive criticism from a genuine customer who has many years experience in this area!

Food was amazing like normal try to go once a month never had a complaint

The place was freezing! Which meant that the food went cold really fast which wasn’t helped by the rack it came out like warm in the first place. I have a the bbq platter and honestly wasn’t worth the money .

The heating was broken and we all had to sit with our coats on, not very comfortable really, it wasnt until we mentioned how cold it was we were advise there was problems, maybe a complmentry drink or side dish would have helped as not a cheap meal, service and food however was very good

Got told we couldn't order off the festive set menu as it was pre-order only. So why have it on the table? Didn't receive sides ordered with mains and missed 1 dessert. No-one asked during the meal if everything was ok and no-one offered an apology. Overall very disappointing experience for a venue which we'd heard good things about
