Steak & Company - Gloucester Road

Second visit to Steak & Co Gloucester Road in three weeks. Steak on the stone is super. We've had fillet, sirloin and rib-eye. All excellent. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a bit noisy, the floor is very slippery (mind the stairs going down to the toilets too), and they could have a better selection of beers, but these are minor complaints. Recommended.

Prima Steaks, guter Merlot, faire Preise, zuvorkommender Service. Alles gut!

The steak was very tasty and the service was good, but the music was way too loud!!! We had to shout to carry on a conversation. Not our idea of fine dining.

Totally different experience, menu was changed for the better and food was more exotic.

Nice informal restaurant, good food, excellent service. The steak is seared on the outside when it is served. You can finish it at your table on a hot stone.

Incredible service, the staff are friendly and attentive to your needs at appropriate times.

Arrived on time. 40 minutes later still no table. Employee at the door was still packing people into waiting area. Hugely overbooked, might be company policy but was a poor reflection on what I am sure is a good place to eat. Sadly a negative experience but staff were lacking the fundamental skill to offer drinks whilst waiting etc. Others felt similar so we walked out to our usual steak house in Covent Garden. Top dollar steakhouses should treat each and every customer with care but not on this occasion. I may try again to see if this was a one off but I am sure with the numbers coming in the door they won't care about my singular negative experience.

It was my daughters birthday so a family occasion, food very good as usual. Staff were very attentive. The restaurant was packed but service was still excellent.

Booked table weeks ago and despite fact restaurant was not busy it took an hour to get our meal! When we did get it 2 out of the 6 people did not get the sides they ordered until we chased up 10 mins later (obviously forgotten) 2 of the ladies toilets were blocked and overflowing into the main area of toilet by time we left and wanted to use them I would like a response please as was going to contact steak and co this morning !

Wait staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive! Steaks were tender and large.

We had to move our reservation for 12 by an hour at short notice and they did everything possible to help with this - great service. Place is a little cramped packing lots of people in and due to the nature of the way the steaks are served there is a food aroma so you may leave smelling like you have been working on the grill - but over all great experience and will be back (this was 3rd visit)

10/10 The food was INCREDIBLE and the service was even better. Our waitress Elena went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I were happy. New hot stones were brought out as soon as they noticed ours weren't as hot as usual, without us evening having to ask. Brilliant recommendations from Elena of both wines and sauces that complimented our food perfectly. The perfect location for my partners birthday. A special thanks to Elena and the manager who came and checked up on us at the end. We'll be back :)
