Stein’s Kensington, or Stein’s Berlin Restaurant as many will know it, is the latest addition to what is one of the most popular groups of German restaurants in London. It’s a modern, elegant dining space inside a Kensington Grade II listed building featuring a gorgeous terrace overlooking Princes Gardens. At Stein’s Kensington, unlike at other Stein’s restaurants, you can expect exquisite food and drink from all over Germany rather than just from Bavaria. We, and indeed most others in this famous part of London, fight it completely irresistible. Everything is imported directly from Germany and whether for breakfast, gourmet coffee & cakes, lunch or dinner, it’s very wise to arrive armed with a reservation.
Great atmosphere, brilliant food just like in Germany. Convenient location off the side of the V&A Museum. Good beer options from Germany. Well worth the visit.
The decor is modern and, on a hot day, refreshingly cool and simple. The service was prompt and friendly, the menu was commendably relatively short with good alternative choices and the food excellent. I look forward to my return with pleasant expectations.
A wonderful evening on terrace great food and service from very friendly staff. Even the German wine not too bad. Try the knuckle of pork!
