Sticks'n'Sushi Richmond

Our waitress was great and very informative about the menu (as it was our first visit). However we were first shown to a table right beside the entrance which we had to ask to swap because it was (1) cold and (2) right beside another couple.

Food was great for adults - really delicious. More choice for kids (and soft drink options) would have been good. Table arrangement poor, my wife had to keep moving to let someone in to the a table by the window.

it was ok. our waitress was sweet and overall the service was good. the only issues were my daughter found a small hair, first in a cocktail and then as we furnished a plate that part of a menu set we found another hair. the manager came over and said he would take the cocktail off but said nothing about the dish that had the hair. As it was a daughter b day treat we didn’t want to escalate and i guess did the english thing of saying nothing. i don’t think he manager handled it well by just ignoring it. probably won’t rush back but overall the food is good

We usually love coming here as a special treat and are very regular customers, with the loyalty scheme enabled, so this visit was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this time the experience really didn’t live up to what we’ve come to expect, and it’s made us think twice about returning as often as we normally would. The service felt noticeably inattentive throughout the evening. It wasn’t anything dramatic, but a series of small things that added up and affected the overall experience. For example, we weren’t given any napkins at the table and had to ask for them, and our water glasses weren’t topped up unless we specifically requested it. There were also long gaps where it was difficult to catch a member of staff, even though the restaurant didn’t seem overly busy at the time. In addition to this, some of the food arrived later than expected, and when it did come out, it felt rushed rather than well-paced, with dishes arriving unevenly across the table. This made it hard to enjoy the meal together and disrupted what is usually a very smooth dining experience here. The general atmosphere also felt a bit neglected compared to usual — the toilets, in particular, were slightly grimy and didn’t seem to have been checked recently, which is not something we’ve experienced here before. We had a visitor with us from Spain and chose to bring them here because we’ve always spoken so highly of Sticks ‘n’ Sushi. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t reflect the standards we’ve come to associate with the brand, and it was disappointing to feel we couldn’t showcase it in the way we’d hoped. Overall, this visit has affected our opinion of Sticks ‘n’ Sushi, which is a shame given how much we’ve enjoyed coming here in the past. While we don’t expect perfection, the drop in attention to detail was noticeable, and as a result we’ll be reconsidering whether we return as regularly in the future.

I usually go to the Kingston branch, but today I wanted to try the Richmond one. The food was amazing, definitely the best scallops I had, and this is one of the starters I always order.

Tasty meal. Good service from Leo. Could be a bit pricey if you go mad but nice for a treat.

Very friendly and helpful service. Food was all delicious and beautifully presented. We were very satisfied and thought the cost very reasonable for the quality.

The food and service was exceptional. The place was very busy but the food came in a timely manner. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and gave very helpful suggestions. Highly recommend the desserts. We tried the crème brûlée, mango coconut pudding and the ice cream duo. Delicious!

Food is absolutely delicious!! The service isn't the best during the afternoon. Plates not cleared for a long time and noone came over to ask if we wanted any drinks or desserts even though we were sitting with empty plates and glasses for a good 25 mins. Evenings the service is brilliant from the past 2 times we visited.

Loved the food. Asked them to put out the Danish flag for My Wife as it was her birthday and our wedding anniversary, but they forgot. We did mention it after paying the bill and they presented us with a small ice cream for one.

It was our first time and we found it a little overwhelming at first, lucky enough the staff were amazing gave us great advice which we happily followed. The food was amazing will definitely be returning as soon as possible.
